LoL I don't believe in marriage..... Well, not the way it is now. I think it should be more like a pure contract: with a start date, an end date, and an option to renew if both parties are agreeable! Not to mention agreeing on how everything obtained during the life of said contract should be divided up, should the option to renew not be exercised. I know - divorce lawyers would have to find other unsuspecting victims to feed upon, but o well. Kids - Kids are great but not in my future due to health issues.
ps: not a flaming feminist, either! LoL

LoL uhm, my OPINION on that thought of yours is, it sounds like no freedom... sounds to me its the same as dropping the soap LoL Marriage, as it stands, is a contract - you promise to love, honor and cherish each other 'til death do you part (or as long as you both agree - yes, I have heard that one used!). The big difference between "traditional" marriage and the idea I presented is that you have a kinda trial period, if you will; and if, when that time is up, you decide it really wasnt for you, you already have a built in exit strategy that ensures a modacum of peace. How is that less freedom? It's less arguing...it's less fighting... Yes, it's less romantic - but only if you let that contract get in the way of the romance. Seems to me that's already a problem with marriage as it currently stands anyway. Don't get me wrong - I am an incurable romantic. But marriage is serious business and should maybe be treated with the kind of respect given to multi-million dollar business deals. Besides, this contract plan was actually how the celts handled their marriages back before Rome tried to take over the world.
