Scorch21500 FALL IN! And I know you people have watched too much TV and the media have lead you ladies to believe that the only thing that can kill them is a head shot. That is damn MYTH! They are humans. The only way to move is with muscles. Those won’t work without oxygen. The only way they get that is if the heart is pumping there fore a chest shot will take them down. Just takes more then a normal person. And another things. Burn that damn guide. It will get you killed.

Now, as for our little fight about zombies...
If you don't believe the guide, why are you here, Scorch? Are you soft in the brain? The common thread that binds us is a need for knowledge, and MAX BROOKS.
The day is as dangerous as the night. Zombies aren't picky about when they come out. Read Alpha's stuff, that bugger has a pretty good grasp.
While you think, a little, I'll give you kiddies that, I'm slightly annoyed by your pushing that others are wrong.
Because sometimes, you could be wrong.
And remember, we've never encountered this situation, we're all just preparing for a would be, or a could be. For all we know, zombies could be totally different than what we imagine.

I always thought it would be good to take over a supercenter or something. Barrocade all the doors with whatever is permanent. The canned goods alone in just one store would be enough to supply several people for at least a year or two. It would be like a fortress. Most supercenters have a sporting goods section with guns and ammo, furniture, food, running water and when that doesn't work anymore there's always the distilled gallons, which are usually in overstock by the ton. Most supercenters even have power generators for when the power goes out. That might last you a week or two when the power grid goes down, given that you conserve your energy. The tricky part would be securing all of the glass doors and plexiglass ceiling panels that let in the daylight. Once you have that covered, you and your miscreant crew are set for little while. The only way you would be in trouble is if you have like superhuman freakishly fast and intellegent zombies to deal with. Then, it doesn't matter where you go. You're screwed.

If the heart is pumping, then the rest of the Organs would need to be working as well, they'd have body heat blah blah blah ect. This is, of course, the popular mythology, but realistically, unless something magical is animating their body, its impossible to move without oxygen and blood to carry it to your muscles. Its simply the way the human body is built. I mean, I prefer the dead, decaying, bloodless zombies just like everybody else, but it doesn't make any real sense.

Finnelly someone with a brain. and i'm sorry for my absences. got kicked out of the guild. as for why i'm here it's becase of waht i'm saying. the Captain invited me here after meeting me in another guild. and the reason i said it's safer to travel at night is because you can see, unless you got NVGs which i doudt any of you will be able to get your hands on. PS Max Brooks has stated that he made the guid as a joke only and he is frieghtend by the fact people follow it so closly.

Well time for a new lesson so FALL IN!
Now i see some of you are smart( i just hope you survived the VC) so this thread isn't for you.
hmmmm, actully i think i gave all the Advice i could give. It's your choice if you follow it or not. I'm not going to go into anyhting about the virus since there is no way i can know anyhting about something that does not exsixt yet! but just follow basic CDC protocals and you should be fine. and for gods sake if you are with a guy that pokes a dead one SHOOT HIM!
That's all unless i think of something else. go out and stay alive, and do not charge my postion or you get a nice round to the head. dis-MIST!

now i'm sure that you don't know waht a "Raider" is.
i will put it in simple term.
"Oh look more survivors and they're armed. we can work to gether, wait why are they shooting at me, ow ow i'm dead."
Raider's kill other servivors for their suply( or if your female they keep you alive but i'm sure you won't like the reason why) they don't give a crap about you they are the orced survivors. either avoid them opr elimnate them if need be.
and remeber, the live are always more dangerouse then the dead.

Now them i'm going to explain why the living are far more dangerouse then the dead or infected.
For one the other group doesn't shoot back or take cover when fired upon.
And if your nice and safe ona second or third story window from the infeced, the infected will not goin get a ladder or stack somthing up to get to you. the living will find a way up to you faster then the others adn they will attacked in n organized manner( usualy).
