I find my self reading A LOT of shojou manga. That coupled with my interest in finding a well written 'True Love' story has led me through quite a diverse selection of stories. Now I want to ask you a question of which is more painful to be told. See the poll.

that would depend.. eg if you were more concerned about yourself, then the first choice would be more painful. if you were more concerned about others, then the second choice.

Like what tezu said, and some people would use coat hangers (not just teens, husbands and wives...or lovers...etc.) to get rid of a child. it mainly depends whether or not the two folk want babies at all.
It also depends on the beliefs of a person as well.
but if you're going for a generic lovey dovey couple who wants 5454655487987 offspring or something like that then yes, it hurts. xD
surrogate ahoy.

I think it's the first, because there wouldn't be the second. D; It can be rather sad, really.

well i think is a real world type of deal and i belive that yes it would be sad to hear such a thing, but if it was the first i would just adopt a child or two, i mean there are alot of ppl who have babies for many , many different reasons and they can't keep him/her for many, many different reason. So i would just give the love i intend for my own kid and give it to another kid in need of parenting and guidance in their life.
and the second one is just i would tell my son when i feel it is the right time to tell him and when he can understand what i mean, and when he is having that change in his life where is intrested in sex and all that whatnot.

Option B. As much as it would be nice to have an heir what's the point of bringing an ill child into the world only to suffer?

I think the second one. Obviously you have options for both but can you imagine raising a kid, then they want to make a family of their own(the 'traditional' way) and can't? That's pretty sad.
