Okay...heres the thing, I don't know about you guys, but I'm always thinkign about politics, my riligion, and abortion and my pro-life stance and how I can apporve it and take a more active role in it. ANy ways, heres what happened to me. WHile I was away I went to a buffet called Fire on the Mountain, while there, a family came in, a large one, I suppose they were having a family eat out. The youngest of the family came around the corner, and holding onto their hands inbetween them was a smiling little boy.
This boy was...physicly deformed. He had a much larger head then normal, swollen bones. His right eye was a little bigger then his right, but looked to work perfectly fine. His left leg was either lame or smaller then his right because he wallked with a limp. ANy ways...it nearly moved me to tears as I started thinking about it when I got home.
Here is this little boy, smiling, laughing, looking around at all the other people. He was perfectly normal all save for his physicle appearnce...at least what majority of the people would consider normal. And when I got to that thought, I started wondering if his parent had been recomended an abortion. We now live in a day and age where such alements (it really diudn't look like one form where I was sitting) can be seen before the child is even born. The child, with these physicle alements, would have been recomeneded to be aborted. If he had been a little younger he would have been born in a time were an abortion is practicly forced.
I'm sure he was aware of every thing about him, but at the time, this child, this little boy, that couples baby did not care. He was smiling, laughing, he even told a childish joke he had heard in school. He was enjoying life and every thing it offered him at that time. And his parents looked to theroughly love his enjoyment. And yet...I knew that organization like Planned Parenthood and Zero Population Gorwth and severle euginics groups would have wnated this child aborted, simply because he was physicly deformed.
His smiling and laughing and talkign with who I assumed were his grandparents told me that he enjoyed what he had. And it told me that others would (and did, since I am positive there are others like him) enjoy life, and smile, and laugh.
The enjoyment of lif. "But...my child my not like being what he is" or somthign to that degree. This is the problem with many, and most, pro-abortionist, they do not, or rarly tell the mother other wise. He will enjoy life, and he will love himself, even if others ignorantly do not.
This is why I nearly cryed the other day.

You seem just like me. I can't stand it when they reccomend killing a baby just because it's deformed. It sickens me to no end. I would not have such good memories with someone in my family if my Mom had taken the word from that nurse (or head of department) womans' advice and aborted him simply because he had potential of becoming a dwarf. And so what if he did?
I'm just glad that boy was enjoying life.

The reason why that those mentioned groups would rather abort a child than give them a chance at life and to be happy is because they do not value life or what this world has to offer. They view even economic hardship, let alone physical deformity as an appropriate reason to end somone's life. Your story is inpirational, but it does not sadden me, it only reconfirms my assurance at the ability of man to pull himself out of any situation with a positive attitude.

It can be applied to anyone, because everyone is in a situation that someone out there would hate to be in. Some people would hate being home as much as I am. I was utterly amazed when someone said, "I'd have given up if I were you." I am very glad I'm alive, but he couldn't imagine living anything other than a "normal" life. Bless his soul he also couldn't imagine how anyone could eat tomato soup, but that's not the point, he just couldn't imagine it and decided I must hate my life.
Big secret of Katedome: I love my life. I am happy. I am clincally depressed and I'm still in love with life. I don't know why I like it so much, I just do. Things that he thought would be oh so terrible are mere annoyances to me. Sometimes they're even things that set me apart and help me know myself.
If my parents could have seen into the future how I would live day to day at this point in time, and they decided I could never be happy this way, I'd be ticked. No pun intended.
What does it come down to when you decide to kill someone who hasn't asked for it? It's easier on you. You don't know if your child would want that. Happiness is relative to each person. You can't look at someone and decide that he or she is not happy. So why pretend to? To ease the conscience, bottom line.

******** A man, just reading that moved me to tears.
But really, why can't he have a happy life although he is physically deformed. They automatically assume that no one will accept him for who he is jeust because he looks different. These people who tell the parents this have already not accepted this child as accepatble.
It's almost as if they want to select breed.

Thats actualy Planned Parent Hood's goal, though som eof the peopel who help them may not know it. Eventual selective breeding in the human species in order to recreate the Master Race. Margret Sanger and a great majority of her donaters and supporters were all very strong supporters of eugenics.

It's like Hitler all over again (Sadly though I am Aryan and get told I'm a nazi). Humans are humans no matter how horrible there life may or may not be. Hell that potential argument they spew should be applyied to this. "Potential to have a bad life means nothing." Or somesuch bullshit along those lines. On another note, I was yelled at yesterday for pleading a young woman who is pregnant, to not get an abortion. I was actually told to lay off and let her decide, as if abortion is the end all solution to pregnancy. God forbid you take the actual responsibility of birthing the child and raising it rolleyes , but still I should have all the sex I want without having to deal with responsibility, and just running away rolleyes .

I have never seen that argument answered. "If a woman has sex, whether protected or unprotected, she is accepting the risk. If she has an abortion, she is not tackign responsibility for the risk she took." They always change the subject.

Abortion is more responsible than pretending she isn't pregnant and then having a baby she can't afford." Seriously though, read this if you want to get angry. http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a377efb252a28.htm

I'm against abortion for babies if its merely, in this case, deformed. If it still has a chance of a normal, happy life, let it live!! Only unless would be suffering severe pain for the rest of its life, and be mentally and socially unhappy, then would I support a parents decision to have one, because it is out of loving care and intent for the child.
Bless these kids. heart
