Having a vietnamese family,
my mom and dad and pretty much
all my reletives listen to viet music.
ive been hearing it since i was born
and yet i cant seem to enjoy it
or understand it.To me i cant
hear a beat or anything
and its all the same type of
music.
Im not expecting you to read all that

My parents are both from Vietnam, and they moved here. I was born in America, but we have SBTN (which is a Vietnamese channel on DirectTV). So there's always Vietnamese music, when my mom drives she listens to Vietnamese music.
I understand and like Vietnamese music too, it just depends on what kind it is.

I feel the same as you about Viet songs. I understand them but they're sound nearly all the same as well as the theme. I've never heard any Viet songs that appealed to me, the only nice ones are covers from western or korean/jap songs.
I think there should be a music revolution in Vietnam LOL

I don't really like Viet songs, especially the new teen-pop's songs. They are so annoying. And well, many teen-pop stars now just illegally steal beat of other Asian artist and then write a stupid lyric in Vietnamese for it. The most ridiculous part is they always say they write those songs. And with the fact that 90% teen singer now are models or actors, they have no talent at singing at all. I mean, yeah, i wanna look at their face, yes, they r pretty but i couldn't not listen to their music. Singer needs more than just a pretty face. I'm upset with the V-pop industry that much because i wanna involve in it. But after a while, i choose my career is busniess ( at first, i thought i gonna be a music producer razz ) because the V-pop is not worth it. I mean who want a singer, who haven't even learnt any vocal lesson sing ur songs, which u put all ur soul in it?.

I don't like Viet songs but sometimes a little of them make me feel so good...
