Ok, so I am switching from PC to Mac. I want to run Maplestory on my Mac as well. No, I don't want to use Boot Camp or Parallels and run Windows on it. But I heard of a program called Wine. Will Maplestory run on Wine successfully? If not, what should I do to get Maplestory on my Mac? I will only use Boot Camp or Parallels as a last resort.

Supposedly, GameGuard prevents you from running MapleStory on virtual machines.
It also doesn't seem like you can use Wine by itself, you'll have to have some other software to use along with it. The only thing I know about Wine (from running my virtual machine) is that it allows DirectX to run.
You'd probably have to use your "final methods" or just use a Windows based PC. It probably wouldn't even need to be a computer with a very high performance, either.
You could do 'some stuff' to get it to work, but I'm not sure if you'd want to do 'that kind of downloading'.
