|Round Three, is it?|

Liliath didn't bother to answer the replies to her challenge. Her breath was far more useful if she put it to keeping her ahead of those who chased her. With what could almost be a form of draconic laughter, she angled her wings and made a sharp dip before opening them and soaring once more, high into the fluffy covering of the clouds.

The blues annoyed her. Both were fresh and nearly as quick as she could be, however, Siventh and Zanylith were more powerful. She was a green however, and her advantage was her maneuverability, increased even more due to her smaller size as a green. Her eyes glowed brightly, and whether or not the thought occured to her that she might be seen by them, she angled to the left, circling nearly back the way she came.

Back in the room T'bell had yet to move from his spot other than to lean his head back on the cool rock, eyes glazed as he saw what Liliath saw. The three tables he had pushed to the door made a noise, and he could barely move to look over. Again they shook, clattering against each other. That would be the other riders. The blues, the bronze and the brown. They were on the other side, wanting in of course. They moved again, falling into each other in a tangle and proving their uselessness as a barricade. He felt a flare of panic go through him as the small wall he'd hastily built was brushed aside and he made a noise, breaking him from his green for only a second before he was caught up once more.

(Those close enough can make an attempt to catch in thier next post, but only an attempt. I need to figure out who will win so my next post will likely say who caught her ^^)

She had been drawn to the weyr, the call of lust overwelming her senses. She could feel the reverberations flow through Tarlith as he sailed above the dragons, darting amongst the clouds. Time and time again she attempted to surface enough to call him back but a part of her tugged as her emotions. Maybe this was the time to surrender. "NO!" She called out reflexively before catching herself and staggering on, her mind above the clouds with her weyrmate.

Tarlith could see the sinuous body of the green below. She was nimble and fresh as Kalya had flown him to Ista for the morning. He could feel her mind calling him back but the waves of passion carried him forth. Her lythe body wove in and out of the clouds but he was still not ready to swoop down upon her to claim his prize. He pumped his wings to gain some speed and catch up with her path.

Zareth grunted annoyed at the greens decision. At lease he was low, the thermals would allow him to turn and rise back in one motion. With a great swoop involving two massive sea blue wings, the creature easily trailed the green.

He rumbled at the fact they stayed near level, it was his chance to get ahead perhaps claim his prize. It still bugged the large being that the green seemed to be annoyed with him. Being naturally a good heart, he normally would have pulled out. But this was different, this was a flight. A time to prove himself over a brown, even a bronze.

Nico managed to her feet, bracing the wall blind except for the vision of her blue. “Zareth!” she screamed giving little thought to those around her. “You must go faster, you are strong my love.” She tried to crawl further arcing herself against the wall.

My wings are strong, the familiar man version of her own voice echoed. I am strong With that he forced himself higher, faced with the almost loss of the thermal, he somehow managed to move forward. Then once above the green swooped trying to grasp the green with his blue talons.

|Tarlith and Zareth's attempt. I'm assuming Tarlith was just positioning himself to intersect her when Zareth made his move and fouled things up for the both of them. Tarl is welcome to post his reaction and another attempt any time. Zareth can post his reaction, but after everyone's posted (Moof/mer) please|

Screeching anger that was echoed by T'bell, Liliath banked when she felt the Zareth's shadow above her, and folded her wings tight to her body, diving with blinding speed. She would never let the blue catch her, she would go between first, somewhere along the beach, such was her devotion to her rider. Only a moment into the dive she quickly unfurled her wings and doubled back once more in a graceful arc, snapping her jaws in annoyance, eyes swirling a purple mixed with red. A snarl rose in her and she bugled, glaring back at the blues with vicious anger. Imagine a blue catching her!

(I know this is a bit different in the ways of doing it, I'm trying to figure out how to handle action events later on and get an idea for things like more hunts/threadfall. Hope I'm not annoying anyone *bow* sweatdrop or confusing anyone but myself whee )

The brown Wingsecond's focus was completely on the green, his green, purple eyes following her every movement in the hopes of an oppertunity to pull ahead. Therefore, it came as a huge surprise to Siventh when a large bronze body suddenly cut ahead of him, straight in his path. The brown bugled angrily, flecks of red rising in his deep purple eyes. He could hear his rider mirroring his anger, practically snarling at his brown to attack the impudent bronze. This was his flight, his Liliath! How dare any other even think to take her from him.

However, despite his rider's rage, the dragon knew that a fight would only cause him to lose his green. He didn't have the time nor the energy for that now. Rumbling angrily, he altered his flight to dart beneath the bronze, with a sweep of his powerful wings coming level with Zanylith, eyes catching the green once more just before she ducked into the clouds. His eyes found her glowing purple ones in the mist and with a beat of his wings he angled away from Zanylith, altering his direction towards a point where, anticipating her path, he could intercept her.

But the blues reached her first. A brief flicker of apprehension ran through Siventh's thoughts as one of the blues dove for his green. A feeling which immediately faded to a triumphant smirk as Liliath neatly dove away from her pursuers. His eyes followed her dive, and as she turned back up the brown made his move.

With powerful wingbeats, Siventh put on a burst of speed, angling down towards the rising green. Her eyes were turned towards the blues, bugling her annoyance that they even try... She would not notice, he was certain. Eyes deep purple with lust, the brown dove towards Liliath, talons stretched for her...

Back in the weyr, K'rel had long since managed to force the door open, surrenderring himself to his dragon's mind as soon as he stepped inside. Throughout the flight, the Wingsecond had echoed his dragon's thoughts with spoken words of his own, snarling even as Siventh did when Zanylith blocked off his path, then actually laughing aloud as Liliath evaded the blues. Oh, she would be a prize, this green. More than worth the effort, he was sure. Though he was tired... Siventh was tired.... Neither could hold for much longer.

As Lilliath dissapeare dinto the clouds and Siventh swept under him, Zanylith turned with them both, following the green's jaunt through the clouds and the blues' near miss of catching her. She was oh so tempting, and the blues were not worthy of her speed and intelligence! Zanylith would make her his, and then-what's this? Siventh! Again the brown comes between him and the prize.

Bronze body flashing, eyes whirling a mixed purple and red, Zanylith dove for the brownand green bodies barely dragonlengths away. He rumbled a low growl as he watched Siventh reach out with his talons, ready to ensnare the green. Was she too caught up in the blues to notice? Zanylith bellowed and tucked his wings, his large body gaining speed through the wisps of clouds, inner membrane closed against the rush of wind, front legs extended, reaching, beckoning towards Lilliath's form.

With a swift movement, the bronze slid past the brown, hissing, and began to open his wings to catch the warm air and bring him level with Lilliath's shining form, within reach of the prize.

Siventh's approach escaped the green's notice as she glared at the blues behind her. However, she was quickly startled into awareness by the diving bellow of the bronze. He was nearly on top of her! She folded her wings in a rush and nearly rolled to the side to avoid his claws, feeling his wingtips brush her. With just enough time for a scathing hiss she quickly opened her wings, needing to gain air to outfly him before he recovered from the dive.

She soared higher into the air with her wings outstretched, not even noticing the brown above her. Zanylith had completely distracted her, and when she practically flew into his claws she turned the screech she had meant for the bronze onto Siventh.

|All Siv's gotta do is close his claws now, to Liliath's downright insulted annoyance. She's never had to outfly more than two dragons before. Maybe it's the green in her showing...easily distracted.

*cough* Siv for the win! Lest (by his player's wish) he fumbles the catdch and loses the superbowl for his team gonk |

He had it. She wasn't paying attention to him, there was no way he could lose her now.

...And then Zanylith. There was a final anguishing moment where Siventh thought he had lost. The bronze streaked past, diving straight for his gree, who still failed to notice. She was gone...his Liliath.... But with Zanylith's bellow of anger, the brown knew the victory was his. Sure enough, Liliath had looked over, swerved, and just barely avoided the grasping bronze talons... And now she was heading straight for his.

The brown dipped only slightly, and before she knew it Liliath had flown straight into his waiting talons. Ignoring her angry screech, he closed his claws and caught her wings, a triumphant bugle escaping his maw as his neck snaked forward to twine with hers. He beat his wings once, then angled downward and dove himself and his mate away from the others, wing soon reopening to catch them both, thermals catching the span to begin their post-flight glide....

((Mmmm, bad final post... Yay Siv and K'rel biggrin And Good job to everyone else who tried <3 <3 Please forgive the shoddy post, and please forgive my lack of decribing what's happening in the weyr >.>;; It's 5:30 AM, and I feel that's better left alone...))

Tarlith soared above, his wings straining as he reached the position he was after. He was about to fold his wings into the dive when Zanylith swooped down to take hold of the green. His movement braught her right into the waiting claws of Siventh. The flight was over, he had lost. A voice in the back of his head called him out of his passion induced fervor and he swung around back to his weyrmate.

Kalya, released of the connection sank to her knees in the middle of one of the corriadors. Looking around she could not recognize where she was but she could see light ahead and, using the wall for support, headed towards the lightened room.
