The 'shoulder closest to the viewer' is always longer. They're standing at an angle. Usually.
Here's my biggest thing with this; I look at this next to Victoria's old mug and I see two different people. Her hair color is a different shade of blonde, too, and her curly hair seems to just be wavy now. I like the face in the new one better all in all, though it could use some shading fixes, but it conveys a younger age than the other one did, so this one looks like a younger version of the Victoria we know. The blue is also
very blue and appears flat. I'd touch up some shading in various areas on the hair as well. I see a lot of the darkest tone of the hair without much of the middle tone around it. Although it looks like you were doing to custom shading, so kudos on that.
Well, I suppose I could call it a work in progress. Doing something well takes more than one day.
For the hair color and style - I meant to match the avatar I'd created, but I suppose the differences are striking. Maybe going back to her other hair color isn't a bad move, but I like the wavy style. I'll get a closer look when I'm back on my temporary laptop instad of my e-reader.
I did use a different eye style, which may explain her looking younger. I may splice her old eyes on there to see how they look.
I understand about the blue too, it could use some contrast even if the item doesn't have as much.
