* Last obscure and irrelevant post for today, I promies xd
While browsing the ninemsn site I saw an article titled "Will Elmo lose his job?" How could I not click on it?
Apparently, Jim Henson's Sesame Workshop (after laying off 20% of its staff because of the financial crisis) is producing a special for children and families about managing finances. The story is the Elmo's mother loses her job, so they all have to cut back and be thrifty. Elmo is going to eat at home and cut down on trips to the movies.
Isn't Elmo supposed to be a 4 year old? What on earth is a 4 year old doing eating out all the time and frequenting the movies? Pre-schoolers shouldn't have to sacrifice their "social life" to save money - what kind of high-flying social life can a 4 year old possibly have?
I just found this rather odd.
