Type: K'khk'Nak*~~** Queen NPC

Name: Normally refers to herself as 'I' or 'We'. However, her hivemembers have come into contact with other species who are particular with names, so if necessary she refers to herself as K'ka'nat (Kik-Ka-nat). Its short and easy for both the K'khk'Nak*~~** and other aliens to pronounce, since it has no flashing syllables. If she were asked to translate it, she would simply say it is a word for 'queen' she made up for the alien's use.

Age: She was in her middle years when malegara died, and is nearing the point where she may be superceded by an offspring, not that she minds. The new queen would inherit the name she uses and all her memories through the hivemind anyway, and will probably keep the same attitude towards the other species in the dome habitats her hivemembers can travel to.

Description: Her massive bulk is huge, bloated, and segmented, much like one of the many larva crawling on her. She is held slouchingly upright by her lair wall and the holdfast on her tail. Her only movement is an awkward and slow wriggling that allows her to take in as much nutrients as possible from the vents linked to her lair and to adapt to how the current carries these nutrients. She has an organ similar to the eye mass of the adult K'khk'Nak*~~**, but it is rarely used. She sees through the eyes of the hivemembers.
This queen has a few internal modifications done to her by t he keepers to keep the larva populations manageable, and her metabolism is almost shockingly slow. Thus, she has more accumulated mass than a normal queen, but the hivemind seems to work fine.
She has normal queen coloring, though there is some slight discoloration in the form of Faded dark-red spots on her upper segments, possibly due to the keeper's modifications.
Her luminescent bands tend towards the orange in color, though this is not always reflected by her hivemembers.

Personality andf biography: She could be considered 'Open-minded', but really she's just an extremely curious individual. She saw her world die, and then awoke to find her hive in a container. The ocean had never been enclosed before.
She saw outside the dome through the eyes of the hivemates and soon found ways into other domes.
She felt as her Adults died as they stumbled into places where the pressure was far lighter and they burst through their own exoskeletons, their meagre organs exploding with the pressure difference. She felt as a few, before their deaths, were unable to move in waterless lands.
She learned.

Eventually, she managed to find an aquatic dome of the similar pressure, travelled to with their bubble technology. The water tasted different, with different things feeding their internal microbes. She investigated, sending large amounts of her adults through, encased in a protective bacteria-laden bubble that would keep the pressure safe.
And she discovered...
