"That is very true." Avery nodded to Nilen, sure of the wisdom in his words. She personally liked to sit back, observe things, take note, and if she was noticed, control the situation. Dragonriders drew attention everywhere they went, a fact that some liked and some disliked. Avery would be fine, she knew, whether or not she impressed.
Unlike Kesslan, the poor girl would've lost it. A secret smile as Uuni took a step back and she considered his assessment of Favan. Very accurate. The dragons always chose just what they needed.
"Favan won't be pushed around, wherever she goes. I wish you luck back at your weyr, Runner Nilen, though I don't think you quite need it."
He seemed a wily fellow, the type that knew how things went and how to get the best they could. She was clearly done harassing him.

Uuni had to blink in admittance to Nilen's words. A dragonrider could go somewhere in a blink of an eye and bypass huge stretches of territory, people, sights, and likely very valuable information. This reputation was something she was curious on, but it was a question for another person and another time.
The matter at hand was Favan, and for having his ears blown off in the halls by the woman (so the rumour went), Nilen seemed to give a fair, unbiased opinion of the matter.
Uuni decided at the point where he seemed to be smirking that he was an agreeable fellow; the humour was welcome and it caused the edges of her lips to perk in the beginning of a smile.
"I look forwards to hearing all about it from any Runners, then," she said with a wink. "I have to get back to chores. It was nice meeting you, Nilen."
She stepped away from Avery and nearly bumped into Renna. The background noise she'd picked up registered, and so she had to add, "You know, if you're ever out of a bed to sleep in, you can always share mine." She grinned and gave the girl one of the typical winks she loved using, but it was not clear whether or not she was joking.
Turning back, briefly, she added, "You'll be at the tables tonight, Avery?" And then she stalked off through the stables, leaving no room for further discussion beyond being chased down, and avoiding Runners as she went.

Renna had been flirted with before, but this was the first time, at least as far as she could remember, that a girl had been the one doing the flirting. Was that what had happened? A look of surprise crossed her features as Uuni slipped by, winking. Of course, Renna did not take it seriously as an offer, but was it... flirting? Yes, it had to be flirting. Well, maybe this girl was just a touchy-feely kind of person. Yeah, a kind of joking person. It's not like she knew her well. But she did wink. Maybe it was a joking wink, or maybe it really was an invitation wink... And this is much the way that her internal dialogue continued for quite a while.
Taking a cue from Uuni, Renna nodded politely and said, "I should be off too. Pleasure to meet you." With that, she stepped away from the group, sidestepping any errant piles of dung, and then disappeared off toward another direction.
