Who: Axl and Lirina
Where: Wherever, really~ It doesn't matter. For argument's sake, outside their cabin.
When: Day 12
It'd been a pretty good day so far. Any day was good when you weren't locked in a cage with crazy people, after all. Axl hummed to himself as he strolled back toward his cabin. He really wanted to get to know his teammates better. He'd spent so much time sleeping on the dock, he couldn't say he really knew any of them. Well, beside Em. He shrugged a bit and stuffed his hands in his pockets, looking around for fellow Gulls.

Lirina found herself on the path back to the Seagulls' cabin. Having decided on a little exploring on this pleasant free day, she needed to gather some trekking material from her supplies: compass, graphpaper, a few fantasy books. There could be some advantageous spots worth noting for future challenges... However, her outlining came to a petering end when she spotted Axl loitering about the perimeter. She could be honestly glad to see him -- away from the bubbly facade she sometimes employed.
"Hey Axl! What are you up to?" she asked, approaching him.

He stopped walking when he heard someone call his name, pausing to look around. Seeing Lirina, a wide grin crossed his face. Lirina, man. Lirina was his new best friend, his saviour, his most favourite person in the whole wide world. She'd been the one to rescue him from that damned cage, and hell, lets be honest. He loved her for it. He'd shout it from the rooftops! His heart was swollen with Lirina, man. Full up!
For a few days anyway. Until the glow of being free wore off. He was high on life and fresh air and all things good! He'd slept in a bed last night, man! A shitty camp bed, but a bed never the less! ******** yeah!
"Lirina! Hey! I'm not doin' much, just had some food and a walk. What about you?" He grinned a bit wider, waiting for her to catch up to him.

She thought of her answer on the short approach, as she was wont to do. Though Axl was a proven strong pillar for the team, it was certainly not an excuse to go over the angles just one more time.
"Oh, nothing very important. I was thinking about checking out the camp a little more and was going to grab some supplies. Now that I consider it, it's probably good that I've run into you -- at least there will be a witness if I go inexplicably missing," Lirina finished with a small laugh, her demeanor caught between joking and realizing it was terribly possible. This place was the equivalent of Australia boarding a crazy train and running headlong into a production of WWIII on Broadway. They had been incredibility lucky the weird series of events eventually lead to finding Axl and Asher at all.

"Heh." He decided not to tell her that if someone wanted to kidnap her, they'd probably do it regardless if he was there or not. After all, he'd gotten kidnapped standing in front of the mess hall, talking to Lucifer, right? Nothing was impossible here, man. If they wanted you, they'd get you.
"So. Supplies, eh? What for?"

"I'm not sure yet," she answered honestly. "I'll probably explore the woods a bit, then the beach if there's time. This camp is bound to have some secrets. Maybe one of them is a weakness." Adventure and scout work were synonymous to the strategist and her mood was excited, if aired with some devious intent. Lirina paused for a moment, weighing her next question. "I don't suppose you heard or saw anything during your... detainment?"

He paused for a second, taking a moment to think. Had he heard or seen anything?
... Not really. He'd been drugged and dragged off to an island he didn't even know existed. He'd woken up in that tent, and all that had been there was crazy chicks. It was hard to hear anything over that Amanda...Anna...bel? Whatever her name was, it was hard to hear anything over her shrieking. And then Chris shrieking when she bit him... Yeahhh, he didn't hear anything that he could relay without scarring himself for life. Even more.
"'Fraid not. I woke up in that cage. I'm sure you're right though, there's probably lots of secrets around here--after all, I don't think anyone knew about that island out there."

"No one except them, perhaps," Lirina commented, not as much to herself as she would have under most conditions. While Chris was showing more evidence to be as questionable as his partner in crime these recent days, dissension was no less a serious matter. There were some things one just didn't discuss outright.
"Thanks anyway, though" she smiled, putting up some optimistic personality. Remembering that day still sent a sour taste to her mouth. Even when she had been upset at the challenge for some reason or another in the past, it was still fueled by a passion -- what had happened took the logical pedestals onto which she placed everything and knocked them asunder. "It wasn't much better for those of us looking for you guys. It was half deduction and half wild luck. I rode on a shark--" Lirina paused in her memory, still rather bewildered about that one. It was why she wasn't quite considering trying to get back to that island too soon. "Well, I don't want to hold you up. No telling when this free time will run dry."
