I'm back, trip was nice. My mom got the flu, I got a nasty stomache virus that kept me queasy for pretty much all of Ireland, then I got a sinus cold. My immune system is the fail.
I have 30 "new" CD's (went to a few second hand record shops) and I also found one of the three remaining Tower Records stores in the entire world, in Dublin, by chance.
I have a new pelt, a few horns, some leather things, and a bottle of Mead.
I have pictures but since I got my cable it may be a few weeks or whatever until I feel motivated enough to go buy a new one and upload the pictures.
Ireland is kind of dull, I don't mean that to sound so negative, but I was really disapointed. All the hype for the Emerald Isle and it wasn't even that green. Everyone told me how spectacular it was and I got there and thought, "This is nice, it's pretty, but......" Revisiting Scotland after seeing Ireland was like a kick in the face. When it comes to greenery and lushiousnessizzle, Scotland's got the game. Glencoe has always been one of my favorite places to dribe through for a reason. Even misty and raining it's spectacular (I do prefer rain to sun, but it makes taking photograpsh difficult especially when it comes to contrast and aperature).
So all in all, I had a nice trip, but I'm happy to be home.

Hey, glad to see you're back smile
I'll have to tell my mom what you said about Ireland... she's wanted to go there for decades.

Then some chick on the internet is not going to change her opinion but my advice is simple, but I mean it with my entire heart. If she goes, PLEASE, only go for a week. There isnt much to see, more than a week and you'll be bored to tears. Couple it with Scotland for a few days. You'll be much happier.

hmm, for my part, I prefer to simmer in discontent. it suites me better than jealousy, and has the added bonus of being entirely self sustainable...

Welcome back, and at least you didn't get the swine flu. 4laugh heart
I've never been to Ireland, but having travelled throughout England, Wales and Scotland, I can say that they do have beautiful countrysides, greenery, sceneries and lovely people. <3
Finland has a lot of countryside as well, but whereas in England that would mean inhabited countryside, here it would be uninhabited countryside. We've got a whole lotta nothing going on in most of the country. That's why people from overcrowded cities (from Germany and Japan especially) come to Finland to experience the "OMFG THERE'S HUNDREDS OF SQUARE KILOMETRES OF TREES AND LAKES AND HOSHIT NO PEOPLE TO BE SEEN! :OOO". biggrin It's true, there's only about 10-15 people per square kilometre and in the UK it would be around 250. surprised

I'd love to go to Ireland, even in the scenery isn't as great as you are led to believe. I just think it would be nice to see where my family came from, I mean I'm pretty much all Irish, except for that wee little bit of German that snuck in there.
Sucks that you got sick though, that must have made the trip seem worse. I hate getting sick, luckily I almost never do. biggrin I'd love to see Scotland too, that place sounds like a fun place to visit.
I'd say, the place I want to visit most is New Zealand though. I've only heard great things about that place, even from some girl in the Metal Forum who lives there.
