what is the difference between saying "atashi" or "boku"? 3nodding im confused

smile Oh. Atashi is used by females, informally. It's seen as sounding cute in some cases. Very informally you can say Atai. Boku is used by males, informally. It's rarely used by girls (but sometimes if they're boyish, I haven't figured out why. I like using Boku and I'm a girl, I try to avoid it)
