Well awhile ago i found out President Obama wants to pass a law that will cause everyones taxes to go towards abortion. Well then i got to thinking in the constitution it says we have freedom of religion. If he passes this law he will make all Catholics go against there religon because Catholics cant be anti-life ! So he would have to change the constitution in the process.
I just wanted to know everyones thought on this.
Well, I agree with not wanting the money to go to abortion.
On the other hand, our tax dollars also go to war, which in the case of this war is considered unjust by the Catholic Church. We're already going against our faith with our tax dollars.
Funding abortions would fall under healthcare and since it doesn't force anything on anyone (besides taking tax money) it's not really a violation of religious freedom. I understand your feelings completely, believe me, I live in a state where my tax dollars already go to abortion, but it's not actually an attack on our religious freedom.
