There are some who believe all people have psychic ability.
There are some who believe it only comes to a group, or that some are just more talented than others.
There are even others who believe we repress it.
Just how common is psychic ability, really, and what could we do to increase its prevalence or harness its potential?

I tend to lean toward just about everyone having some amount of psychic ability, just that most people don't listen to that part of themselves and end up ignoring things. I would blame most of this on the predominant societal view that imagination isn't real and that feelings don't mean anything.
That said, I think that some people are naturally gifted with higher levels of skill just because they don't accept the above views very easily or some other factor.
I used to think that every amount of psychic ability I happen to have was the product of work, but now I'm not so sure because I've had deja vu and precognitive dreams on and off all throughout my life from childhood. It's just rather sporadic. My main focus currently is on telekinesis and I think that a lot of that is practice. I'm not going to say that everyone has the innate ability to move things (albeit very small things for me), but I had absolutely no ability until I sat down and began practicing it.
As to how to increase and harness psychic ability, I always say to practice it. Use it and trust it and it should pay you back. It's like someone that gives you advice; they'll eventually stop giving you advice if you never listen to them.

I Agree qith Obscurus almost everyone does have some level of abilitie but ignore it and as to increasing and harnessing it, well practice makes perfect so sticking with it for long enof and like Obscurus said trusting it to pay you back

I all so agree with Obscurus, in my experience, every one I've run across HAS been able to learn. I think some are just better at it than others, natural tallent.

I think some people, just because of their nature, up bringing, and personality are more OPEN to psychicism, and thus more talented in harnessing it. I do, however, not think it's some mutation or special THING. I think all people are in some way connected to the collective unconscious. It's a matter of what types of boundaries your mind and life path has created to that connection.

All have the potential to be psychic, but those who have great aptitude for it might ruin their vast potential for it by not meditating in the beginning. Those who do not chose to believe in a reality different than the one that we can only ever see with our eyes close themselves, and therefore make them selve defenseless against energy beings. There are even some who are altogether obsolete, so obsolete, that they aren't effected by energies, good or bad.
