Title: Monkey see, Monkey do
How I know it: my uncle told me
Story:There once lived a family of three; a mother, her child, and their pet monkey.
One day the mother was around the house, doing chores while holding her 2 years old baby in one arm. With the other hand she took her monkey's hand and led it down to the basement to do some laundry.
The mother put down her baby for a minute to put the wet clothes into the dryer and the monkey was watching, holding the baby. The mother set the dryer on medium and let it run, taking her baby back and leading the monkey back upstairs.
The next day the mother had to go grocery shopping. She left a babysitter in charge and left. The babysitter decided that the baby was okay in its playpen and decided to take a nap upstairs. The monkey watched her leave and then turned its attention back to the happy child.
Smiling, the monkey took the baby out and held its hand. The child giggled and tottered as the monkey led it down the basement. It set down the baby and peered inside the washer. It was empty. It peered inside the dryer...and saw it empty.
Still grinning the monkey picked the happy baby up...and threw it into the dryer. It closed the opening gently and set the dryer on high. Leaving the room, the monkey closed the basement door and took a seat in the living room.
When the mother came home, the first thing she saw was her smiling pet monkey. The mom looked into the playpen and saw her baby gone. Thinking that it was napping she went to find the babysitter. The sitter was up now and she didn't know where the child was either.
They grew worried and looked everywhere. The monkey had kept its smile and led them to the basement door. It led them downstairs.
The mother was confused by the running dryer, knowing that she didn't start any laundry...so she opened the hot door.
