Anyone see the new announcement about the linking thing? Your thoughts?
I'm totally not gonna do it. I want facebook to be exclusively people I know, and Gaia to be my getaway. I'm paranoid enough about my facebook as it is (but too addicted to delete it sweatdrop )

-privacy on the internet
-weird s**t Gaia is doing

not gonna do it because i can't :/ i've never joined Facebook and i don't care to. if my friends really want to contact me, they can either call me at home or email me. or even better, find me on the web in my usual haunts (though that'd probably take some searching as i'm sure most of them don't know what my usual usernames are). i don't need to post to the world every little thing i do or whatnot, or camera whore. though somehow i'm worried that my friends created a Facebook page of me without my consent...
privacy on the Internet is what you make it. if you trust the people you talk to enough to be so open, so be it. your own fault if something bad happens. i dunno, that's just me. it's not that i don't trust anybody online, i've just been tricked before (though it didn't cause any real damage beyond me being a bit more cynical towards others) so i'd rather be cautious.
*sigh* with you on the job front, but it's my own fault <.< i'm too shy to hand in resumes DX handed in a couple today though. even if the place i do wanna work isn't hiring for any jobs i would be qualified for -.-

All my friends on Gaia are pretty much on facebook so doesn't matter to me.

Meh. I don't even use gaia's status things. so it's not a big deal if I do it or not.
although, I don't want gaiaz on mah facebookz.

i agree with both Kira and Fini.
I agree with Kira bc its true, a lot of my friends there are friends on gaia so I think what's the big deal.
But i also agree with Fini bc most of the people i work with are on FB and i don't need to hear "oh this damn customer bla bla bla" on gaia when this is like my fantasy land where i can get ideas for art. I don't need it corrupted by the stress of my work...
So yeah, I don't think i'm going to do it either.

To me, Gaia and Facebook are separated by a thin line of comfort.
I love Gaia because I can be a "nerd" all I want.
I love Facebook because I can be as real as I want.
I wouldn't want to combine them :[
Thus, I won't do it.

Daveyy To me, Gaia and Facebook are separated by a thin line of comfort. I love Gaia because I can be a "nerd" all I want. I love Facebook because I can be as real as I want. I wouldn't want to combine them :[ Thus, I won't do it. dude, that's the smartest thing i've ever heard you say. Its a compliment, run with it. for they will be few and far between lol

Same here. (:
And trying to find a job?! It's been like hell for me! I've been searching since June after I graduated! And I got a call a few days ago, but it sucks because I leave in about 9 days! So there's no point in going in for 9 days and then is like, "okay, well i leave for college." It sucks. But I'm going to be working on campus I believe. So I'm stoked for that.

I don't have a facebook, or a myspace. I see no point in having one, or even a twitter.
I just... dislike those kinds of things.
