 Never read the manga... But anime wise it's definitely Misty.
She wasn't nearly as annoying as May or Dawn, although May was pretty cool... I guess...

I haven't seen too much of the anime after the Johto saga, but from what little I've seen of the Hoenn/Sinnoh sagas, I'd say that my favorite is Misty. I mean, didn't May dislike Pokémon at first? So why even be a trainer? I wasn't too fond of her little brother either.. or at least who I'm assuming was her little brother.. As for Dawn, at least she's cute, but that's about as much as I know about her.
