I usually sleep during the day and wake at night. Today I slept from 4:20 pm until 12:13 am. I have been awake a fair few hours.
I used to have sever insomnia, to the point Trazadone (Sorry if misspelled) at it's highest milligram was not enough (It's highest mg is 300). It helped for a while, but I would still stay up a few days, with that being said, I at one point stayed up for aprox 6 days. I was completely delusional from sleep deprivation.
Try taking some Benadryl. It's side-effect is drowsiness. I take that sometimes and it really helps.

I had a dream yesterday in which the room I was in flooded with water and aquatic animals and I barely avoided stepping on a huge stingray. Then I found a small creature which I played with until it died [not surprising, this happens often xD] and made the skin on my left hand turn really dry and leathery.

Where you stoned before you fell asleep?
I only ask because I have bizarre dreams when I fall asleep while high... (No, I am not condoning drugs, because they are against the law, even though they are so much fun...)...
Anyways... Did you check your hands afterwards? I tend to look at the area in my dreamed that "deformed" just to make sure I was dreaming... LOL!!
If you are 21, I would actually suggest drinking 1 glass of wine.. It will help ease you to sleep, and it will help to silence dreams (at least for me)... I never fall in to REM sleep when I drink wine... :-/
(I am 18, but my hubby is old enough to drink.. YAY!!)

I sleep? Haha. I don't sleep at night. Usually go to bed around dawn to like full daylight...then wake up like four hours later...or less.
