DemonsThese demons are much stronger than the lesser demons, and also slightly less common. They are also quite a bit less talkative, usually making grunts and growls or the occasional simple sentence. These demons may be used in your roleplays.
Land OushixThese demons are found throughout Honshu and Kysuhu. They don't often enter human settlements, but they will often make their home close to one and pick off travellers, livestock, or humans wandering too far out. Generally solitary. Their horns and spiked tails are their most dangerous weapons.
Sea OushixAlso usually solitary. These demons are found in all the oceans, and in a few of the larger lakes and rivers. They prey mainly upon swimmers, boats, and ships- ambushing them and devouring all they can. They will occasionally come up on to shore. In the water they are very fast- but on land they are a lot slower. Their bite is quite strong, and they also have muscular forelegs that they can use to strike and grab with.
Hairy OushixThese demons are found only in Hokkaido. Unlike the other Oushi, they stay together in large numbers, anywhere between four to hundreds (although a pack larger than twenty has never been recorded). They are frightened of fire and so don't usually venture into settlements, instead hiding amongst the trees and waiting for a human to venture too far out. It's not uncommon for a shepherd who's turned his back for a moment to find that his flock has been descended upon by a group of hungry Hairy Oushi. Generally they are easily scared away; but in large numbers they become very dangerous.
