Forbes reasently stated that our fed is reaching its "zimbabwe moment". the fed today anounced it would be monetizing our debt(somthing it said it would never do), but wait isint that what zimbabwe did before it went into hyperinflation? but thats crazy it could never happen to the U.S., the infalible fed has never done us wrong (except in and not limited to- the great depression, 1970's stagflation somthing most didint think was possible, the 2008-2009 recession, and the value of our money being .04 of what it used to be)

why is the feds trashing of our dollar being ignored by most major news? why is it always passed off as crazy conservatism when the devaluation of our dollar is brought up with the non stop printing of money.
is it realy too far a stretch to to think that this time the liberal care free way of handling our economy has screwed us over. you dont need an economics major from MIT to see there is a serious problem that throwing money at contrary to popular belife actualy makes worse. you might here "well obama has only been in for 6 months bush had it for 8 years" or " the republicans had control of congress from '95-'07" if you think that was conserative economic policies those years look up conservatism in a dictionary the GOP screwed up royaly by spending to much. so does commen sense realy dictate that the dems should just spend 10 times more and if we dont have the money we'll print more.

I was thinking more along the lines of just stop spending on stupid non important things that the fedral goverment has no buisness spending on.

like what, foreign wars? its too late, we are already in trouble. In order to pay down the debt, additional revenue is needed.

we could cut spending by stoping the trillion dollar healthcare, put back the 90% of the stimulous left unspent, stop printing money like there is no tomorow thus adding value to our dollar, in the future avoid things like iraq.
plus just look at the laffer curve the goverment cut taxes across the board in the 80's (just rich people tax cuts is a myth everyone got them) and the goverment made MORE money from people having more incentive to work.
but first people need to realize you cant spend your way our of a debt.
higher taxes could backfire and the goverment would get less money out of it from people having less encentive to work know how much money they would lose

I agree with some of that. The stimulus can suck it. However I want the health care. The biggest expenses though are the military. Cut defence and tell Blackwater to go suck an egg.

I can agree with cutting militaary cost in their most inefecient areas, everyone in blackwater should ship to Iraq and put on trial in iraqi coarts for I care. I just cant get on board with health care knwing the costs and that an NHS-esque service would near impossible to remove if put in.
