Ive had it for....nearly a year now. LOVE IT!
But...its starting to get a terrible odor =S

Ive tried soap, ive tried soaking it in baking soda & hot water...whats the best way to get the smell out?

During my time on the menstrual cup forum I learned that if a cup gets a bad smell particularly after washing it with soap, it's probably a sign of bacterial vaginosis which must be treated with an antibiotic. You'd probably have to see your gyn. The cup's plastic doesn't hold odor under normal conditions, so it's a symptom of an underlying issue.

They say cleaning it with peroxide is a good way to remove germs and odors not associated with infection. It's cheap enough to try it out.

I was told to sterilize mine once in a while. I believe she said something about boiling water.

Boiling is the most recommended option for sanitizing your menstrual cups.

I also find that rubbing alcohol works wonders at removing discoloration. TMI, but i find that my diva cup turns this dingy brownish color by the end of my period from the blood staining.

Here's a link to some more thorough information on cleaning your menstrual cups.

I bought some of the 'DivaWash' it's concentrated and has a great orange scent, but once you rinse all the bubbles away your cup smells like nothing!

Don't want anything scented going in your v****a. ;p
