Ok. Thanks guys! I lost my very first art contest, so not very happy about that. It's like, why bother trying anymore. I'm getting worse! I get discouraged very easily.

Thats right doll. Keep coming going. i like your Art as it is , but you'll be improving the more you practice. Takes time, just keep at it. I dont know if you have ever been to an anime convention but most of them have an area called artist colony. Thats where you show off your artwork and professional come around an dgive you pointers on how to improve. You should look into it sometime.

The best way I can say to improve, and art only truly improves in the eye of the artist, if it doesn't look better to you, others will pick up on that, is to experiment with new things. Do you draw guys a lot? If not, give them a couple shots every now and then, also, try to make them heavier, weight-wise. Experiment in busty, skinny, try a little more realism, or push the borders of anime, the possibilities, as it is so often said, are endless!
You won't win every contest, you may be like me and not win any, but the point is you put in your best effort. Did you like that drawing? Because that is was really matters.

Well, possibly the depth of shading, the folds in the clothes, and the textures. But that's what everyone always works on. [like me |||OTL] I think the proportions are the only thing that irks me. Like the head part, I think if you made it seem more ovalish. [even this is required for people who like drawin "chibi"]
