He recognized Jun, that meant he'd found him. Jun made a low bow. "Thank you, sir. For saving my life." He really was greatful. Like most genin, he had aspirations. His was to become one of the most feared shinobi of Kirigakure one day. And dying would definitely have put a damper on those plans. He wasn't really sure what he should do at that point, so he remained in his bow.

Normally Keichii would have made a big production out of having been recognized for doing something totally awesome, but Keichii had never actually had that happen to him, so he just sat there, awkwardly staring at the boy before him.
"Uh... no problem, kid... S'nothin'..."

Rakutsu rubbed her eyes before looking at Shouta. ''Ah, Yeah. . .I was just thinking about something. Sorry if i was a bit loud.'' She smiled and let out a light sigh. ''Things happen. . and it's not always in my power to change it.'' Rakutsu wasn't really one to talk about her family much. she was only one who preached about how horrible it was. Though, really she was grateful to have family and friends like Shouta and Even Lady Kage. Rakutsu shifted her hand in her pocket. ''Ah, that reminds me, I have something for you and Lady Kage.'' Rakutsu pulled out a small sapphire amulet that took the shape of a snow flake. It was very smooth. ''It's a tradition in our family. . We hold onto a amulet and give it to our closest friend. Kind of like Christmas i guess.'' she smiled and held it out to him. Rakutsu had no friends where she lived, Everybody just avoided her. ''I'd split it in half for both you and Lady Kage. . but it's. . .kind of bad to do that, I'm sorry.'' ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

Shouta smiled and took the amulet. "It's beautiful. I'm sure Lady Mizukage and I can work something out. Thank you, Rakutsu-chan." He placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a kind smile. He was glad Kady Mizukage hadn't kicked them out of the village. 'There's no way they're going to die if I have anything to say about it.' he swore to himself. Like his brother Devonte, Shouta valued family and comrades above all else. He then looked up to Jun.
Jun stood straight. To him it wasn't nothing. It was his life. There had to be something he could do to repay his debt to the Snow-nin. Then he thought of it! Jun bit hard into his thumb to draw blood and pulled out a scroll. He smeared the blood over the kanji on the scroll. "Its a summoning scroll. If you ever need help, just open it and one of my wolves will come out." He held it out to Keichii. The wolf that Jun used to that scroll to summon was one his favorites, the leader of the pack that Jun was able to summon. This would definitely make them even.

Keichii tried not to gawk too obviously as he was handed the scroll. 'This KID can SUMMON!?' It wasn't every day he had a "fan". Keichii wasn't going to try to scare him off. He took the scroll hesitantly.
"Th--This... Where we're goin', you'll need this more than me..." he mumbled beneath his hood. Keichii was glad he was wearing the thing. His pale skin was probably fluorescent red under there from the kind gesture. "W'zn't 'spectin' nothin'...." he murmered to himself.

Rakutsu smiled back gesturing a thumbs up. ''Of course, You guys are probably what changed me so much. . In a good way of course. So i should thank you. Plus. . .you guys are my only best friends.'' she mumbled lightly. Rakutsu remembered the day she walked into the medical ward, She was scared and upset. She felt so much guilt . .but it was different now. Rakutsu turned her gaze to Keichii and giggled a bit. This was the first time she had seen him act so . . .sheepish. Of course, being in mist changed him too. She thought to herself then glanced at Shouta. ''I think it's a good thing for him. . to be communicating with other people in a positive manner. Or. . at least it's improved.'' She lightly sighed and took a deep breath. ''Ah~ I love the weather~'' as you could tell by the subject change it was one of those thoughts that just slipped out. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

A proud, yet cockey grin srpead across Jun's face. He and the rest of his squad had been wearing cloaks to keep them warm. He pushed the his claok open so Keichii could see all twelve scrolls that were strapped to his belt. "It's fine, I got plenty more!" Either way, Jun wasn't gonna let Keichii refuse.
Shouta laughed a bit as well. He was glad to have helped them, as Rakutsu put it. He watched the way Keichii became a bit flustered. Well, it was pretty rare for kids Jun's age to be able to summon. But he was one of Mist's 'prodgity children'. He wouldn't have been allowed on this mission otherwise. All the genin in this armada were either extremely gifted or on the verge of becoming chunin. Jun Raiken, for example, was quickly learning to master his clan's jutsu. Naturally, it had to do with those summoning scrolls. Shouta's fingers wrapped firmly around the amulet. He slipped it into his pocket and zipped it for safe keeping. Without realizing it, his hand remained on Rakutsu's shoulder. For her comfort and for his own. But like his brother, he tried to keep his anxiety down so he could enjoy these last moments of peace.

Rakutsu smiled at both Keichii and Jun. She was happy that she had the opportunity to spend time with all these amazing people that inhabited mist, Granted she only actually met a few people. But even so. If they were under the guidance of the Mizukage she was sure a great portion of the community was just as amazing. Rakutsu turned and noticed Shouta's hand on her shoulder. she blinked cluelessly for a few seconds and slowly caught on. she simply smiled and placed her hand on his, that was currently on her shoulder. ''No matter what happens, we'll always be best friends.'' She said cheerfully. For the first time Rakutsu let a uneasy breath escape her. She was . . cold? Normally Snows weather didn't bother Rakutsu at all. So why did it feel so cold? Maybe it was all in her mind. Rakutsu shook it off and slid her hand back down on her knee and turned a calm gaze to Shouta. ''The mizukage is strong, Just like everybody else in the Mist village. I'm sure we'll all pull through.'' She said reassuringly then turned her gaze back to Keichii. Rakutsu tried to stay away from the topic all together but she figured a few encouraging words would help the dim mood surrounding the boat. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

'WHAAAAAAAAT!?' Keichii's wide eyes twitched a bit. That was... wow.
Keichii's competetive instincts drove him back to Earth, though, and his arrogant grin returned. "Hah! Pro'lly won't need it, but thanks anyway," Keichii pocketed the scroll in a nonchalant manner, but his grin returned and he leaned towards Jun, "Tengu won't stand a chance 'gainst us."
Keichii then threw his head back and laughed. It wasn't his normal, obnoxious crow. It was actual laughter. Keichii hadn't done that in God-knows how long.
The cold air of the north prickled the tense, pre-battle aura, electrifying the armada. It was probably insane to think so under the circumstances, but this was... fun!

Shouta smiled as she spoke. He was glad that she considered him such a close friend, and that someone outside the Mist saw them as more than blood-thirsty, war-mongering monsters. -Not that the majority of them weren't!- Her words put him at ease.... untill he noticed one of the Mist nin staring at him from the next boat. His eye twitched slightly and flickered with... anger? Fear? Whatever it was- it wasn't a pleasant emotion. Shouta's hand instinctively went to his left eye and scratched at the area underneath it.
The Mizukage looked over at Jun and Shouta and the others on the boat. Then noticed Shouta's small movement. He only did that when soemthing was bothering him deeply. It was his 'nervous habit' as she had observed. Her eyes traveled over their boat to the next- there was where she saw the source of his concern. There was a man staring at Shouta. He had shoulder-length brown hair and gold colored eyes. He looked roughly fourty years old. Devonte noticed her gaze and his grip tightened on the Mizukage's shoulder as he saw where she was looking, and that he was staring straight at Shouta. Other than that, his composure didn't change. "So what's gonna happen to the bar? It can't just close down!" said Nyirei behind them.
"Don't worry! I got a worthy successor to my legacy." Keizo laughed.
Suijin looked down at Dev's hand as it squeezed her shoulder. It wasn't a friendly squeeze either. 'They'd held out so well in my office....' she sighed to herself. After a moment, the two brother's seemed to calm back down- as if absolutely nothing had happened....
"Heh. Looks like the Yukikage's gainin' the mentality of a Mist-nin!" Devonte chuckled.
Suijin grinned up at him, devilishly. If they were going to ignore it, then she wouldn't bring it up. "Heh heh heh.... Looks like this'll be one hell of a party!" she laughed. After weeks of sitting behind a desk, not being able to go on a SINGLE DAMN mission she was finally getting back on the front lines! She was definitely gonna enjoy herself!
Jun grinned wide. Then whipped out his hammer as his teammate lunged at him. The slightly older boy wielded two kama hand-scythes. One of the blades was stained with dry blood. "You givin' up your best pet, Raiken?" he sneered. Jun's face grew cold, and he responded by kicking him in the stomach. The boy saw it coming and lept back just in time, though he lost one of his scythes. Jun snatched the weapon and let his hammer rest over his shoulder. Jun now held the un-bloodied weapon out at his teammate.
"Ya want this one to be stained in your blood?" he growled. Then their sensei stepped in, grabbing Jun by his hair and pulled him over to the other boy and grabbed him by his foot while ranting-
"You guys need to learn to shut the hell up! You're ninja for god's sake! Jun- you're our clan's prodgity so start acting like it!"
Jun just chuckled as he was pulled away by his sister, not even caring that it hurt. He looked up at Keichii, grinning. He gave the Snow ninja a thumbs up and said- "Kick a** and take names!" reapeating the Mizukage's famous phrase just got him a hard yank on his hair while his sensei yelled about how she 'just told him to be quiet!'
Shouta got over his discomfort as Jun's teammate attacked him, and laughed as Chizu dragged them away.

Rakutsu glanced at Shouta with a look of curiosity. He looked kind of. . bothered. she didn't say anything of course. But she still wondered. She was interrupted by a chill going up her spine once more. Only this time it was irritating. Rakutsu shot up and quickly ran over to the railing. What was that? This feeling, It wasn't normal. She peered down in the icy water and spotted something colorful. . what was that? Clothes? Or maybe. . Rakutsu's pupils narrowed. she cupped her hand over her mouth, Hiding her urge to yelp. What she was looking at was a dead child who was mixed in with bunch of dead body's floating along the current, All of them were Snow nin. Rakutsu slowly backed up trying not to create a panic. She felt sick to her stomach. she slumped over and gave Keichii a concerned stare. She was hoping he didn't see it too. ''We must be getting close'' she mumbled hiding her face in her scarf so nobody could see the disgusted scowl she had. ι'll pяoвαвlγ εnd up cяγιng

Keichii had gripped the side of the boat as it rocked from Jun's scuffle with his teammate. It was then he saw the bodies drifiting just beneath the surface of the glassy water. His grin withered on his face.
They were gray-skinned; civilians, as they'd been dead for a while. The freezing water had preserved the bodies almost perfectly. The could have been mistaken for dolls, had it not been for the deep red gashed across their bodies that no longer held any blood.
Keichii couldn't think of any comment that would ease the tension. Every second that passed, more bodies appeared. Men, women, children--ghosts of the Village Hidden in the Snow drifted like ghosts around the party; an ominous welcome.
His violet eyes looked up and locked with Rakutsu's. She had seen them too. Her shock and disgust clashed with the ill feeling of met-expectations that had settled in Keichii's stomach. "Tha's right..." he finally mumbled to his sister, "You weren't 'round the Village when it was first attacked."
While Keichii hadn't been personally harmed by the Tengu, he was present within the Village gates when everyone else was. It must've just then become real for Rakutsu that they were the only survivors.
"I wantchoo tuh remember this, Rakutsu," Keichii spoke suddenly, "Remember this, an' fight. Fight so rememberin' it's the closest you ever come ta this sight again," he glared harshly at Rakutsu while he spoke. This was every bit her village as it was his.

Disobey me.... Shouta looked over at Rakutsu, regarding her words with an inquisitive look. He peered into the water and looked away the moment he got a good look at the scene. The other Mist nin were begining to notice as well, but most just ingored the cropses. If there were dead Snow nin floating around, then they must be really close! They needed to focus on the battle at hand. The Mizukage noticed the bodies in the water but paid them no mind. She just used this massive slaughter as more reason to savagely rip appart the Tengu forces and personally make sure that nothing like this will ever happen by the their hands again. She had her motivation, she had her weapons and she had the adrenaline. Mizukage Suijin was ready. Another one of the Mist nin lept out of the water... the last one. He knelt before her on one knee. "Lady Mizukage. The armada is less than half a mile from the shore of Snow. The mist has reached the beach where the armies of the other villages has already assembled. We should arrive on the beach within minutes." The Mizukage placed her hat back on her head. "Alert the rest of the armada immediately." she commanded. "Yes ma'am!" the ninja looked over at his fellow scouts who were already on the boat. They knew what they had to do. They all lept over to the other boats and told the members of each ship they were arriving at Snow and to prepare immediately. "Shouta-san, Chizu." said the kunoichi who came to their boat. She noted the Snow refugees, though she was still unaware that Keichii was the Yukikage. "We're going to arrive in Snow within the next five minutes.""...Right." he said solemnly. The young woman nodded, then lept to the next boat... where the Mist nin was still glaring at Shouta. For a moment Shouta met his gaze then the man dissapeared. "I'm surprised you came... Shouta-kun."Shouta paled as the man spoke behind him, and his eyes went wide. Then they grew stern. "Lord Kurosawa." he said emotionlessly. His heart was beating wildly. He bit down on his tongue to keep himself calm. And to stop himself from lashing out at Lord Kurosawa. "Why do you treat me so coldly? What have I done to you?" Lord Kurosawa's tone was even, almost appologetic. His eyes looked serious yet.... sorrowful? Shouta didn't turn around; he didn't stand. He didn't answer. He just gritted his teeth and clenched his trembleing hands. His face was still pale. Lord Kurosawa continued to stare down at Shouta. And Devonte noticed. He glared furiously at the head of the Kurosawa clan... his clan. But that's all he did as Suijin cleared her throat, ordering him to stand down. For now at least. The Mizukage stood in her boat as she stared ahead at the beach that was coming into view. The shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Mist shifted into standing or kneeling positions, ready to follow their Mizukage out to whatever awaited them. .....at your peril. ((Border of Snow))
