Hello, I have written this story some time ago, and I always wanted to post it somewhere online for people to read it and give their opinions of it. This story is about two sisters who registered into a popular online game; at first it is fun, then they realize the entire game is in trouble, now they must fight to save it. Well I hope you like it, here is chapter 1. smile
Chapter 1: Register // The First Step
“Hana, it came, it came!” a little girl was jumping on her older sister’s bed repeatedly, “Hana, wake up, it came, it’s down stairs right now!” the little girl began sit-jumping on her sister’s bed just for fun. The little girl had a fluffy pink color to her little pajama dress.
“Kahen-baka! I’m trying to sleep” a pillow was thrown from the head of the bed, hitting the little girl and sending her across the room and landing into a pile of large teddy bears. She poked her head out of the pile of teddy bears and looked slightly to her left to find a tag on one of the bears there reading: ‘To my love Niwa Hana, from her love Naito Niiro’
“Oneechan, did you woke up just now?” Kahen tumbled out of the stack of stuffed animals.
“I woke up the moment you stepped into my room” Hana sat up with a tired, upset face, staring at her little sister from her bed, “Twenty minutes ago!” Another pillow was thrown; this time Kahen ducked out of the way and landed in the pile of stuffed animals.
“Now you are awake, it came today in the mail” Kahen said as she bounced on her feet up and down on the rug floor.
“I don’t want to leave this room, bring it up here” Hana tiredly said as she stood up from the bed and to stretch her arms. She wore a dark red nightgown; her hair was slightly frizzy while her sister’s seemed tidy.
“Ok, I will!” Kahen screeched excitedly while turning around really quick.
“Brush your teeth first” Hana called before her sister left the room.
“Fine” Kahen dashed out of the room down the hall to reach the bathroom. She looked into the bottom of the mirror, looking at her hair, she was finally tall enough to reach the sink. She took her toothbrush and the toothpaste and began brushing her teeth. When she was done, she rinsed her mouth out with water.
“Wash your hair, nobody wants to see how tangled it is” Hana called from her room. Showing her bottom lip and huffing, Kahen took out her scrunchy; her hair suddenly blew up and looked as if it had exploded into a wicked forest. She filled up the sink with water, began leaning over, taking hands full of water and running it through her hair. When Hana entered the bathroom, she looked at her little sister’s reflection in the mirror while standing behind her for a few seconds before grabbing her head and dunked half of it into the sink water, she let Kahen’s mouth have air while the rest of her head was under water. While Kahen was screaming and waving her arms, Hana realized her mother hasn’t called from the house asking what was the noise.
“Where’s mom?” Hana asked when releasing her sister.
“Onee-baka!” Kahen yelled as she stood up with her wet hair drenched and hanging from her head, “She went shopping, she told me to tell you to behave” Kahen puffed her cheeks.
“Same to you, I bet” Hana had a grinned on her face as she looked at her sister’s hair, “Dry your hair and bring the package to my room, and don’t touch anything in my room” Hana grabbed her toothbrush.
“Arf, arf!” a little white dog entered the bathroom while shaking his tail. Kahen wet hair dripped water onto the dog.
“Sorry, Ito” Kahen’s voice became more squeaky. The white dog shook himself; his white hair puffed into a white ball as he barked. Kahen then shook her head; her hair puffed into a large brown ball. She skipped out of the bathroom followed by Ito; they headed down the stairs.
When Hana reentered her room, she saw a large box sitting on her rug in front of her bed. Excluding the large box that gave off a blue and black color with white stars, the room seemed beautiful with morning sun light entering from the windows to the left of the room.
“Arf!” Hana noticed Ito’s body leveling behind the box able to view only his head; but even though his head was showing, his body is too small to even reach the bed while standing on his hind legs.
“Weird” Hana whispered as she saw Ito.
“What do you think?” Kahen rose from below Ito while he was sitting on her puffed up hair.
“Even weirder” Hana tilted her head back slightly while looking at her sister.
“It’s lighter than I expected” Kahen was examining the box and found the tape holding the flaps together. She began biting the tape along with Ito.
“You are going to ruin your teeth like that, Ito” Hana joked as he cut the edge of the tape with scissors she received from her desk. When the sisters open the box, another box was within it, so they opened that one, and then the next and then the next until a small box the size of shoe box was left wrapped with red paper and a ribbon.
“Yay, this is it!” Kahen took the wrapped up box out of the larger box while Hana took out a small note.
“Dear Hana & Kahen (Whoever of the two is reading this letter),
Sorry for all those boxes, you know I love playing jokes on you. Here is the game I promised you; you are lucky that I am one of the programmers to this game, otherwise you were going to have to spend a lot of money just to get it. Anyway, I suggest you read the instructions; and like I know you won’t, if you have any questions just send my character an e-mail (you know my character’s name). I have given you two VR (Virtual Reality) Goggles, they are better than the VR Helmets. load in the CD and install the game onto both your laptop and Naito-kun’s laptop, because you and Kahen can’t play at the same time on the same computer. Love you lots, and send love to your mom for me. J Gozen Dei.
P.S. Naito-kun better not be sleeping over there. Also, you better not still have that nightgown; wear some pajamas like you should.
“I bet his girlfriend doesn’t need to wear anything when she sleeps over his house” Hana crumpled the paper and tossed it in her little garbage can in the corner.
“But Dei-niichan lives in a dorm in college, not a house” Kahen popped out of the large box with a red and black high-tech looking accessory over her eyes. The accessory had one long eye-lens that ran across the eye region connecting to what seems to be large earphones; even though the earphone gadgets look like old giant earphones for walkmen, they looked high-tech and neat. On the black lens read VR Goggles.
“I know, I know, and when did you start calling him oniichan?” Hana asked while taking the VR Goggles from Kahen.
“Well he is our cousin, and he treats us like his sisters, and we treat him like our brother” Kahen took out a pair of black and blue VR Goggles, “Can we start?” Kahen asked while Ito barked.
“After you take Ito out for his morning walk” Hana walked over to her draw and pulled out two laptops.
“I already did before you woke up” Kahen jumped out of the box to jump on Hana’s made bed.
“Fine, give me the game” Hana sat on her bed beside her sister with the two laptops before them.
“Here!” Kahen squeaked as she handed Hana a CD case which read ‘DayNights’. As Hana opened the CD case, two similar CDs slid out and a note that read “Lucky that I got you two of them, incase you messed up the first”
“Baka” Hana laughed as he tossed the note to the side and opened up both laptops. The CD drive popped out from both laptops and both sisters popped in the Cds. On both screens, a large logo reading DayNights showed. A white window showed up; on the top read register. The sisters look at each other and then began typing on the laptops.
After typing their information, they clicked ‘Next’, however Kahen wasn’t able to continue. On her screen, a small window said: You are unable to register unless you have a signed up guardian.
“Should we e-mail Dei?” Kahen asked.
“That will take to long, and I don’t have the patients at the moment” Hana said, flipping open her cell phone. She dialed a few numbers before putting the receiver to her ear. The phone rang until someone picked up.
“Hello, Gozen Dei speaking” a young man answered the call.
“Hey, Dei, it’s Hana” Hana greeted her cousin.
“Oh, hey, Hana, did you get the package yet?” Dei asked.
“Yes, but it says that Kahen can’t register without a signed up guardian”
“Members under the age of 13 need an adult that is signed up, so they can be watched”
“So what do I do?”
“Just enter my name and my character’s name”
“But what is it?”
“You should know, now I’m at a meeting, I have to go, bye” Dei quickly hung up the phone.
“He’s always busy” Hana closed her phone and looked at Kahen’s register sheet. She typed in: Gozen Dei, in the ‘Guardian’s Name’ box and stared at the ‘Guardian’s Character’s Name’ box. After a few seconds her eyes widen and she typed in: Sharry_ang.
“It worked!” Kahen screeched while Ito barked. Both laptops showed a another small window reading: Choose your Character’s name.
“I already know mines” Hana said while typing in ‘Yeaitame’. Kahen tried different names after receiving several ‘This name has been taken’; She began puffing her cheeks in anger.
“Here try this” Hana said sounding a little frustrated then typing ‘Powerpuff_Peach’ on the laptop her sister is using.
“But I don’t want that” Kahen crossed her arms.
“You look like a Powerpuff Peach” Hana said when clicking the Enter button on both laptops. A window popped up on both screens.
“ ‘Please select two elements from the list that will be used by your character’ ” Kahen read. There was a list of different elements that were selectable.
“Well, I’m going to take Nature and Sound” Hana clicked on both the Nature and Sound links before clicking next, “What are you getting?” she asked without taking her eyes of the laptop.
“That’s a surprise” Kahen smiled while choosing her elements, but Hana didn’t seem to care. At the end, a window read ‘Register Complete’; both sisters were happy and relieved.
“Hana, Kahen, come down, time for breakfast!” a call came from downstairs.
“Coming, mom!” Hana called back, “Guess we’ll play after we eat, I’m hungry anyway” Hana got up from her bed and left the room while Kahen and Ito followed.
