Her eyes searched the landscape with determination, trailing along the treeline of the Jungle of Sleep. She'd find her familiar and get her back, even if it took all day long! Elizabeth quietly wound in and out of the trees, looking like a giant serpent on the chase after its prey. Her head was kept low, so her horns wouldn't hit any low hanging branches, as she could feel herself getting closer and closer to Camilla. "Ah ha! I got you now!" Elizabeth cried in triumph. The longhaired chimaeve's ears pricked up in excitement and took off at a run from her hiding place in a hollowed out log. Lunging from the log, her back feet kicked up dust, working as a sort of cover. Elizabeth shook her head and sneezed, "Smart trick," she murmured taking off toward Camilla. Floating above the chimaeve, Elizabeth extended out one long arm, "Tag you're it!" she sang soaring high into the air and just out of reach from her familiar. A grin of victory crossed her maw, as she watched her familiar jumping into the air, trying to get her.

How did I get myself into this? Cherise asked herself as she slipped along towards the jungle. In front of her was the reason for her questioning, the "magician" Runako. She'd long since moved to her own place outside of Moongazer Cavern. It was a soothing little --little by dragon terms anyway-- hut, a thing of curves and carvings, a piece of art in the works. But that morning Rune had arrived and asked her to join him pleading that he'd missed her company. So now here she was flying toward the jungle not even sure where exactly Rune wanted to go. Runako was quite happy to be taking a relaxing flight with Cherise. It had been a while since she'd moved out of the main cavern and the place was only growing more hectic. He had to admit most of his own stress came from his now adult daughter Tiaret. He'd been surprised when Cher had agreed to join him, and now he was feeling bad for not having had much to say since they had left her home. What he really wanted was advice, but it was hard for the over the top and confident Rune to admit his own troubles; and so they flew on in silence.
As they reached the jungle Rune spotted a flash of red among the greenery and circled back. "Did you see that?"At first Cherise wasn't sure what had caught his attention but noticed movement among the leaves that wasn't due to the wind. "Yeah, shall we have a look?" she asked, glad to have a distraction from the slightly tense and very boring day.Rune nodded and began to fly lower following the motion and continued flashes of red.

Elizabeth dove back into the trees just as Camilla's paws touched back to the ground. Weaving in and out, she felt her familiar wasn't the only one following her. Glancing up over her shoulder, Elizabeth caught sight of two others. They couldn't be playing along, because she didn't remember ever meeting the two, or inviting them either. Elizabeth looked to see where she was going just in time, as she veered to a hard right, nearly avoiding an old oak. Camilla jumped over logs, and managed to lunge as far as she could from one spot to the next. This was the main way she usually caught up to her Painter; catching quite some air and practically flying. Her paws dug into the bark of a low hanging branch and she used the leverage to jump five feet to another branch. The chimaeve haulted in her tracks, nearly falling off the thick branch, as she watched her Painter almost crash head on. Relief settled in melting the worry away, as she watched the Pan Lun veer off. Two large shadows passed overhead, catching Camilla's attention and she felt intrigued to follow them.

Rune grew thoughtful as they followed. Could it be another painter down there? By why would they keep running? Was something wrong? He was tired of the mystery and dove down to thread through the trees closer to ... whatever it was....
Startled by the other's sudden move deeper among the trees, Cher pulled up to a halt. "Runako what are you doing?" she called out before diving into the trees herself just not at the same headlong pace...

Elizabeth found a big enough space between two trees to round a corner and stop a good distance away. That way when the others stopped, there'd hopefully woudn't be a crash. She watched the two and noticed they were Painters. Her kind too. She found a tree to curl up and around, looking like a giant serpent winding around its prey. Her familiar jumped to the nearest branch and rested a tree over with watchful eyes. Camilla purred in response, letting her bonded know the game wasn't over.
"We'll continue later. Right now there's company, be nice," Elizabeth said with a smile. It'd been a while since she'd last seen any other Painters around.
