Delila had stayed silent while everyone was introducing themselves, she wasn't sure that he simple life would be all that interesting with all the broken families in the room. Her parents were still together, and she had always been happy.
Quickly and quietly she started on her potion, following the instructions to the tee. It wasn't long before she had a soft yellow liquid simmering before her. Carefully she filled a vial with the potion to turn in to the professor, and slowly flasked the rest. Taking her time, as it was not a complicated potion, she rigorously cleaned her cauldron.

Trista got up from her seat and went over to the cupboard to retrieve her two vials. She returned to her cauldron and filled the vials with her yellow potion. What will I even use these for, really? Trista thought to herself. She never found it necessary to use a potion to make her feel a certain way. Even if she was upset, she would rather feel all of her emotions rather than have another replace it. Still, she packed the two vials into her bag. She cleaned out her cauldron, then pointed her wand at it and said Reducio. The cauldron shrunk so it could fit in her palm, and she slid it into her bag as well.
Trista glanced over at the professor, and then back at Ryu, wondering what the professor could want. She shrugged the thoughts off though, and threw her bag over her shoulder before prancing over to Ginger's table. "Hello there."

Venemir shuffled through the parchment on his desk and quickly scimmed one of the sheets. He stood and walked over to Ryu and said, "You are very wise, Ryu, you have remembered to add a sprig of peppermint to you potion. It is a mark of wisdom to take every little piece of knowledge you acquire and use it when the time comes. Many people would have forgotten the peppermint the rest of us did. I am looking forward to seeing if you will continue to show such wisdom. Ten points to Slytherin." He smiled at Ryu and went back to watching the rest of the class.

Oh man, maybe I didn't crush the mallorn leaves enough? Laurel thought as she stared into her cauldron then back at the instructions. After letting it simmer a few moments, her euphoria elixir had turned an awful shade of putrid green. Potionmaking was never her strongest subject. "Well I wouldn't dare judge a book by its cover," Laurie mumbled to herself as she breathed in the fumes deeply. Rather than feeling extremely happy, her heart just began to beat twice as fast in an anxious way. "Aw, bollocks..." she muttered. She began to put away her remaining ingrediants in defeat.

The professor saw that Laurel was having difficulties. He came over to her as she accepted defeat. "Now, now, my dear don't give up that easy." He reached over and unpacked his ingredients and with a flick of his wand he cleaned the cauldron and retrieved what ever ingredients they did not already have including peppermint. "You cannot always give up, and it never hurts to ask for help. There will be people who will always be happy to give it, and on the off chance there isn't well your memories are always there." He smiled at her "Let's start over, dear."

Laurie looked at Porfessor Pridemore incredulously, but she couldn't deny such encouragement. She rolled up her sleeves and said "Alright, let's do this." With a watchful eye closeby, she felt a little more confident. Paying meticulous attention to the instructions before her, Laurel spent at least fifteen minutes preparing the ingredients so there wasn't a hair out of place. She finally placed the ingredients into her cauldron and began to stir... "Clockwise!" she shouted. "That's what I did wrong, I mixed up the stirring instructions!" She laughed at herself and remained leaning over her cauldron until she felt utterly giddy. After stirring counterclockwise, for a few minutes, the potion turned a buttery yellow. Laurel beamed.

Professor Pridemore laughed loudly, "Wonderful! Absolutely marvelous, i knew you could do it!" He beamed at Laurel, "There is nothing you cannot do if you believe in yourself. Remember that always." The old professor smiled at her kindly and began to walk to the front of the room.

Laurel smiled. Getting two vials from the cupboard, she collected some of her elixir and cleaned out the rest of her cauldron.

((Sorry, I couldn't get on yesterday.))
Ryu walked up to the teacher's desk, thinking that he was in trouble. But then the teacher told him that he was wise to add the peperment. "Thank you, Professor." he said. He then turned and headed out of the dungeon with two bottles of instant-happiness in his pocket.
