Prisoner of Azkaban had me hooked. It introduces Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, two of my favorite characters in the series. I would go so far to say that Sirius is my favorite character of them all. It's my favorite and I doubt that'll ever change.

The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Order of the Phoenix are my favourites. Azkaban for Sirius and Lupin and Phoenix because Umbridge is such a great villain. Her single mindedness and nastiness really make me hate her. Whereas Voldemort has always just been the big bad guy that needed to be killed at the end.

The Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved that book. To be honest, it was the first Harry Potter book I read. Yet, I understood enough to love it. Also, Remus was definitely my favorite character. I have a long list of favorite Harry Potter characters.

I was sucked in with the first one. In spite of all the hoopla about the series I expected a kids book, just kind of fluffy. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite though is the Half-Blood Prince. Dumbledor finally starts trusting Harry enough to have him help and Harry finally starts acting like an adult. Plus it made me cry, any book that can touch me that deeply tends to be a favorite.

I got hooked on the 4th book, but I got interested in the series fairly late - the last book was due out in a few months by the time I started.
