Shirin nestled her muzzle into Jerro's fur. The valley was calm and quiet, no sound other then the splash of the fish and the tweets of birds over head. The love struck Kuniku felt time stand still, letting her mind wander as she breathed in his deep, silky scent.Suddenly, Shirin was snapped back into reality, catching the end of Jerro's sentence. "Water?" She squeaked, not wanting Jerro to know her weakness. Shirin's mind raced, her heart beating twice as fast, trying to think of an easy way top get out of it.
Suddenly, a small moth landed on the edge of Shirin's nose, it's small wings beating her nose gently, startling her out of her frantic thinking. She froze, knowing immediately that their 'date' was over and something terrible had happened. Shirin jumped up, the fur all along her back standing on end. "C'mon, let's go!" she cried, secretly relieved she had found a way out of swimming.
The water of the lake rippled, revealing the dark head of a water Kuniku, staring at the disappearing figures in confusion. He shrugged slightly, before gliding gracefully to the end of the pond and following them a safe distance behind, his tail draggin uncomfortably behind.
