Sorry to bring this up if it has been said.
The Petition thread is a good idea. However, we need to be careful on this.
Some people could make a petition that would be good for the members yet bad for us.
One member in our guild made a petition to make the Crew Forum public.
It may not sound THAT bad but we had large decision going on, banning members and such.
Plus, we would never have privacy anymore if that happened, so nothing would be a surprise or secret.
It is nice to allow our members some freedom but let's not forget that people can abuse it in a legal way. :

Stuff like that will not be allowed in our petition sub-forum...
THE MEMBER WHO DOES THAT WILL BE BANNED AND HAVE THEIR EYES BURNED!! burning_eyes
We have rules for that... if I remember correctly. Well if ever it happens, we can delete the thread right away and give the member a warning/ban the member. :3

The only problem is, they will see it as power corruption.
The members will think we are just taking away freedom because we don't like this.
If this happens then we have a possible revolt on our hands.
I just think we need precautions set to make sure something doesn't happen near that or worse.

You see, people focus on the idea that something is being kept by them.
They don't know what it is, only that it is being kept by them.
Which worries them.
People are very nosy, they like to know what is up.
You would not believe how many people asked me in my guild if the member on our trial would be banned or what.
Speaking of trials, that was the whole reason why such member wanted to do something like that.
Point I am saying is that in history, humans have learned to do what they wanted while cutting corners around rules. Doing the illegal legally.
