ⓜⓤⓣⓐⓝⓣ ⓟⓔⓡⓢⓞⓝⓐⓛⓘⓣⓨ
xxxPersonality: Rogue is a sweet girl, but because of her inability to get close to others, she has built up a protective shell around herself. Out of fear of hurting others, and subconsciously, out of fear of hurting herself, she chooses to keep a safe distance from developing any emotional ties or relationships. Deep down, she longs for normalcy and at times, she despises her mutant powers. There are few, however, that have broken through her shell and with these individuals, she is greatly overprotective. She is an outspoken individual and will stand up for what she believes is right. Often, her mouth gets her into trouble, as she rarely thinks before she speaks, but some say that her sass can be endearing. She can be a little hot headed, especially when she's debating her point of view and she almost always stands up for the underdog in a fight.
xxxStrengths: ☑ Her blunt honesty-- though I suppose this can also be seen as a weakness... ☑ She is outspoken and will stand up for what she thinks is right. ☑ She has a strong sense of humor and is always cracking jokes to lighten up a stressful situation. ☑ She is loyal beyond compare and will stand beside her friends and teammates, even if doing so puts herself in danger.
xxxWeaknesses: ☒ She is withdrawn and rarely allows others to get close to her. ☒ She can be a bit stubborn and sometimes has difficulty seeing others points of view. ☒ Because of her inability to get close to others, she is sometimes jealous of those who can. ☒ She's a bit hot headed and has a short temper.
xxxLikes: ☑ Wearing revealing clothing, but because of her powers, she rarely ever does. ☑ Being able to fly. ☑ Comfort foods especially chocolate! ☑ Gardening -- at least she can touch the plants without them withering away. ☑ Cooking. She's not very good at it just yet, but she's getting better.
xxxDislikes: ☒ Losing an argument. ☒ Being the butt of a joke. ☒ Mosquito Bites -- ick! ☒ Being unable to truly get close to someone. ☒ Ripping her gloves when tending her rose garden. They're expensive, you know!

xxxMain Power: Absorption;; By mere skin-to-skin contact, Rogue can absorb another individuals psyche, including their memories, personality traits, skills and physical abilities. With mutants, she can also absorb their mutant abilities for a short time. The victim loses their memories and abilities while Rogue has control over them and the absorption usually leaves them in a weakened or unconscious state. If contact is held for an extended amount of time, the absorption is permanent and she will invariably drain them of their life force, potentially resulting in death. Rogue's power renders her unable to have physical contact with anyone and as such, she refers to it as a "curse". When Rogue absorbs the total psyche of a person, there is the slight risk that the victim's personality will overwhelm her and take control of her body. For the most part, Rogue will forget the memories that she has absorbed, but in some cases, "echoes" of the personalities she has absorbed remain buried in her subconscious. She is currently working on recalling powers and memories from these shadows of leftover psyches.
xxxSecondary Power: Super Strength;; When Rogue permanently absorbed the psyche of Ms. Marvel, she also permanently absorbed the woman's mutant abilities, namely her super strength, stamina and durability. With her accelerated speed and strength, Rogue's stolen powers are very useful in hand-to-hand combat, both as a defense and an offense. She can easily take down an opponent that is twice her size, expending little energy in the process. Occasionally, Rogue forgets her own strength and a playful push could sometimes send the recipient across the room. According to Professor Xavier, Ms. Marvel was also invincible-- though it seems Rogue only acquired a fraction of that ability. Though she is able to repel bullets and take little to no damage from melee attacks, Rogue is still susceptible to mutant attacks, namely energy blasts, fire and electricity.
xxxTertiary Power:Flight;; Aside from her increased strength and stamina, Rogue also absorbed Ms. Marvel's mutant ability of flight. This new ability seems to be limitless, as Rogue is able to fly to certain altitudes without negative effects on her body. It is estimated that she could probably fly to outer space and withstand the lack of oxygen -- though she has never tried it. The ability has certainly been useful in missions, allowing her to leave the Blackbird Jet and scout the surrounding areas undetected. As it is one of her favorite abilities that she has acquired, Rogue rapidly gained control over this new power. Every now and then, when she is in a deep slumber or is having a bad dream, Rogue subconsciously floats in her sleep and has woken up on her ceiling on more than one occasion.

xxxBiography: Rogue had a relatively normal childhood and was raised by her parents, Owen and Priscilla in Caldecott, Mississippi. When her mother disappeared, her aunt took her in and was very disciplinary in bringing her up. Rogue was always a bit of a rebel and didn't adjust too well to her aunt's parenting methods. Countless times of running away from home is actually what earned her the nickname "Rogue". Her mutant powers first emerged during her teenage years, when she kissed her then boyfriend Cody Robbins. The skin-to-skin contact absorbed the poor boy's life energy and he fell into a coma, of which the doctor's said he would never awake. Abruptly after, Rogue was shunned by her entire family and town and she set off to live a life of solitude, fearing that she would hurt again. It was during this time she was discovered by Mystique and Irene Adler (Destiny), who took her in and became her surrogate parents.
When Rogue's mutant powers manifested, she was recruited into the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, then lead by Mystique and she quickly became an asset to the group. Before the Brotherhood was about to pull of a big heist, Destiny warned Mystique to keep Rogue away. During this mission, the entire Brotherhood, including Destiny and Mystique were arrested. Rogue was infuriated at the capture of her family and went to seek the woman she believed to be behind it, Carol Danvers-- also known as Ms. Marvel. Rogue deliberately absorbs Ms. Marvel's powers but somewhere during the transference, something went wrong. Danvers, who possessed the abilities of flight, invincibility and super strength, attempted to fight back, but somehow, her psyche was permanently absorbed by Rogue. She fell into a comatose state and Rogue slowly began to sink into insanity as Danver's formidable psyche struggled to overcome Rogue's.
Rogue quickly adapted to her new powers and continued to absorb the psyches of other mutants with the Brotherhood. Unfortunately, her mind became cluttered with the fragments of the psychic shadows of the people she absorbed. Out of all the psyches Rogue absorbed during her stint with the Brotherhood, Carol Danvers' psyche was the strongest of them all. The psyche of Ms. Marvel manifested herself into a completely distinct personality within Rogue's mind, and would sometimes take over when Rogue's will was weak. Eventually, the struggle between the split personalities became almost too difficult to bear with, and Rogue feared that she would lose control over her own mind and succumb to Danvers'.
In a desperate attempt to rid herself of Danvers' psyche, Rogue fled the Brotherhood and sought the help of Professor Charles Xavier. Seeing the distress she was in, Xavier took pity on her and granted her admission to the X-Men, even though she had been one of their main enemies for several years. Many of the X-Men threatened to leave the team if she joined, but Xavier reminded them that the institution was built on the belief that all mutants deserved protection and a second chance. Reluctantly, they agreed but Rogue was still given the cold shoulder as she joined the team and struggled to gain control over her new powers. In a battle against the Silver Samarai and Viper in Tokyo, Rogue risked her life to protect Wolverine and this then fiancee, Mariko. This act demonstrated her loyalty to the team and it quickly gained her the trust and respect of Wolverine. Unfortunately, it wasn't until she risked her life once more to save Colossus that the rest of the team warmed up to her. Since then, she has become a full fledged member of the team and has been accepted by her peers. Her past still haunts her at times, but she hopes that the good she's doing with the X-Men may serve as a penance for her wrongdoings in the past.
❝An' from the sound of it, the poor darlin` ain't too happy. Will y'all listen to that language? An' she calls herself a lady!❞
