xxxPersonality: Elise is a party animal. She lives and breathes fun and I'm sure it's no surprise that she's extremely loud. She's one of those people who yell for no reason in a quiet room. Some say she's an attention whore and they'd be right. She adores the spotlight and feels as if she'll die without attention.
Despite her party-girl attitude, she's really a nice person. When you're her friend, she sticks up for you no matter what and she's always the first to create a flurry of foul language in order to defend a friend. Even when training, she's always got your back.

xxxMain Power: Astral Projection;; Ever wondered what it would be like to just leave your body and go wherever you wanted in a ghost-like form? Elise doesn't wonder. She knows. Her body will "fall asleep" and her spirit will manifest. While in this form, she has the ability to walk through walls and other solid objects. She also has the ability(in some cases) to possess people, but only if the person doesn't have a developed psychic ability. She can turn invisible, but once again, only to those with an undeveloped psychic ability. She often has trouble with possession and invisibility, though, so she rarely attempts them.
Sounds amazing, right? Wrong. The major weakness here is her body. Yes. That's right, while she's in her spirit form her body is open to attack. If anything happens to her body which causes her heart to stop beating she'll be stuck in her apparition form forever. Also, when she re-enters her body she can't move at first. Mobility returns within five minutes, but it can be painful. She often claims if feels like her limbs are on fire directly after she re-enters.
xxxSecondary Power:Agility;; This is simply added mutant agility while she is not using her primary ability. She can still dodge, duck and fight while she's in her body.

xxxBiography: Elise was born in Munich, Germany to parents who later emigrated to the United States when she was still young. She'd known about her power ever since she was about six years old. When She'd fall asleep at night she'd move into her spirit form and go to the park and other places that her overly-cautious parents would typically disallow.
For a long time she believed she was simply dreaming until one night her spirit roamed into the kitchen and her mother was there. Her mother was horrified considering she had just come from her daughter's room and she was sound asleep. Her door hadn't opened. Elise simply walked through it. Her parent's, being very religious went to a local priest, believing that Elise was possessed by a demon. The priest preformed the various blessings on the girl, but nothing stopped her late-night wandering. Her mother died from cancer when she was 14 and her father was devastated. He kept pressuring Elise to try to make contact with her, but the added stress caused her to go into a depression, one of which she isn't completely out of.
Elise came to join the X-Men at sixteen, though she sometimes feels as if she doesn't fit in. In all honestly, she has thought about joining the brotherhood simply because she thinks they're a bit more laid-back. Yet, she toughs it out. Lately, though she's been dabbling in some not-so-healthy things which include drinking and smoking. She doesn't do them every night, but it's getting to be at least a weekly occurrence. She sometimes sees her mother while she sleeps and it's been happening more and more often as she dabbles in drugs and alcohol. She wonders if her mother is trying to tell her something.

She's somewhat slow to listen, quick to anger, but she justifies this sin because of her deep religious convictions. She rarely puts other before herself which is why she joined the Brotherhood instead of the X-Men. xxxMain Power: Water Manipulation;; This power involves the control of water-based liquids in ponds, puddles, lakes, oceans and rivers as well as moisture from the air. The more moisture is in the air the more water she can use in attack. The weakness of this power is that in dry, hot places she's virtually powerless.
xxxSecondary Power:Water Breathing;; This power is the ability to breathe underwater without the aid of oxygen masks or any other breathing apparatus. This gives her the ability to stay underwater for long periods of time which she loves. Weakness of this include disorientation after being in the water for too long as well as extreme fatigue after using this.
xxxTertiary Power:Power Sensing;; This is the ability to sense other mutants even if they have no physical attributes of a mutant. Sometimes she can sense those whose mutation is still dormant. Her weakness is that she is wrong at times, though not often. In the past she's tormented someone who she thought to be a mutant when it turns out they weren't.

xxxBiography:
Esmeralda was born in the Yucatan Peninsula to extremely religious parents. They lived in a very small village on the coast, far from the hustle and bustle of high-tourist areas. Her mother was a teacher who had originally been born in the United States and her father was a professor at a neighboring town's university.
Even as a small child she remembers running down to the beach day after day for a swim with her friend, Javier. When she was ten years old she and Javier were jumping off the rocky cliffs when her friend was pulled underwater by the rough tide. She screamed for help, but no one could hear her over the roar of the ocean as it smashed against the rocks. She dove in after her best friend, inhaling the seawater. To her surprise, she didn't cough as the water filled her lungs and instead, breathed normally. This allowed her more time to reach Javier. She grabbed her friend, pulling his unconscious body to the rocky beach. He had hit his head on a rock and was in a coma.
Nine years have gone by since then and Javier is still in his coma. As soon as Esmeralda could, she applied for U.S. citizenship, recieving it on her 19th birthday. She quickly searched for others who had abilities like her own and stumbled across the Brotherhood. She's been with them for only a few months, but feels right at home, though at times she misses Mexico and seeing Javier though he is in his coma.
