For my 17th birthday I am getting a digital camera and I was wondering if anyone could give me advice.

My price range is up to 125.

I just want a simple point and shoot not a DSLR camera.

Personally, I'd say Kodak works pretty fine.

I myself own the purple version of this one, and it works beautifully. It comes with different settings, including a video one. Be warned, though; the flash on that thing is REALLY bright. XD

Also, it's only about 5 dollars above your price range, but it may be close enough, depending on your standards.

Here are other cameras from the same company. Feel free to look through them, if you like. Some of them are actually fairly inexpensive!

That's just me, though, so it's up to you in the end. ^_^;

Honestly best camera I've EVER had the means to come across. Even my friends tell me I have a fantastic camera and that means a lot because I am totally not the richest guy out there. <<

Do you know what model of PowerShot it is? There are quite a few. I am Amazon camera stalking.

My vote is on canon as well. I don't know specific models but I know canon cameras are usually really fricken good.

personally, I hate my old kodak. Not just the camera, but if you do go kodak, the software in my opinion was just bleh. wooh windows uploader thingy!

right now, I'm using a nikon s52c-- it was about $200 I believe.
it's absolutely amazing. I adore it. It isn't like some professional camera, all I do is take pictures for fun like of myself and friends and whatnot. But it is DAMN good.

I just love canon and nikon cameras in general. They're worth checkin out, for sure.
