I got an extra two and a half days off right before my trip to see Ethan in September. I was going to modify my ticket, only to find out that it was wayyyyy cheaper just to get a new one-way ticket for the way there.

Only to find that if I don't show up on the first leg of my two-way trip, they cancel the whole flight on me. Unless I pay wayyy extra (200+) to one-wayify the first trip, which means I still have to buy another ticket..

FFF this sucks. I know it sounds stupid but. Two extra days.. would have been so so important to me. crying
