Chapter 1: A Never Ending Run

Come on! Faster, I'm almost there! Arson thought as he ran through the hall. His black and silver hair bounced around all over the place as he tried to escape from the thing that was chasing him. His heart pounded with fear of being caught. He turned a corner and then out the doors he ran into an open street. "Hopefully he wouldn't be so foolish as to try and shoot me in the open infront of all these people...."
As he turned back to see his attacker, Arson noticed something; nobody was outside. Arson's eyes widened as he backed away slowly as a gun was pointed at him. Everything seemed so slow, his heart beat slowly, and echoed. The pursuer smiled and then pulled the trigger.
"Ahh!" Arson shouted as he awoke with a terrible sweat. "Another one of those dreams..... They must mean something. Are there going to be even more of them coming after us? How long are we going to be able to keep this up?"
Arson continued to think about this as he went through his morning routine of showering, eating and then going off to roam the streets. I shouldn't have dropped out, I'd at least have something to do right now. Arson thought and kept walking. He walked to his normal place which was the park that almost everyone went to during the day if they went at work or at school. Unfortunately for Arson it was one of those really sunny summer days, and everyone was there at the park. There were a group of girls not much older than him standing and talking, occasionally laughing between themselves. Arson pretended not to notice them but was eavesdropping all the same.
"Who is he? I mean look at him, he thinks he's so cool just coming and going as he pleases, not anyone to restrict him. Does he even have parents?" The first girl said.
Arson stiffened at this statement but kept his cool and listened more.
"Don't you know? That's that kid Arson Patters. His parents died three years ago in an arson, that's why they call him that. We don't know his real name but he mostly keeps to himself since the incident. Its kind of sad really, not to have anyone there for you or any friends to talk to, he's all by himself. Poor guy..." A second girl said, and this triggered an actual response from Arson.
He got up and crossed the ten meters that separated him from the group of gossiping women. He took off his sunglasses and showed his silver eyes, it looked like he was blind, but it was just an accident that caused his eyes to be very sensitive. "I don't need or want your sympathy, I can take care of myself just fine. And the reason they call me Arson is because when they found me at the scene, I couldn't remember my name. So pry all you want, but leave me out of it..." Arson said to them before putting his glasses and walking away.
"How did he even hear us?" The first girl said with a confused expression.
"He's alone, he has to learn to do some things to keep himself alive. He must have picked it up..." The second girl said before grabbing her bag and looking at him. "Guys, I'll catch up with you later, I'm going to figure out whats up with this guy..." She said and ran off after him.
she followed him from a distance trying to keep unnoticed by Arson. the wind blew past her towards him and his head picked up and he started moving a bit faster into a larger crowd. She tried to push past people and follow him but she lost him. She tried picking him back up, finding anything that could lead her to him, but nothing appeared. She gave up after an hour, she walked over to a small bench back at the park she started at. Sighing she let her brown hair fall out of her hat. She pulled her mirror out of her bag and looked up to see an apple land in her lap.
"You know if you're going to follow somebody be downwind of them so they can't smell you coming. By the way, you have ok smelling perfume, although I'm not a fan of Peaches and Strawberries. eat the apple, I promise its not poisoned or anything." Arson said biting into an apple. He looked her up and down really quick noticing her red shorts, white T-Shirt. Blue baseball cap that said "Hugs Aren't Free" and then at the bag that was a black messenger bag that had silver etching on it. E.C. "wait, you're Emily Collins, aren't you?"
the girl stopped what she was doing and then looked at him. "Yeah, how'd you know that?" She asked a little creeped out and then realized something. Tiara.... "You're that guy that Tiara's been out with?" She asked getting up.
"Yeah, she's one of us. Not one of you. So she's right to hang out with me. Besides, she can handle herself, trust me I know." Arson said revealing a cut on his neck. he threw his apple into a trash can and started walking away. "If you were smart you'd stay away from me Emily, there's no telling what could happen around me. Oh and don't tell your sis we met, its better if i didn't see her unless I need her help." Arson looked at her one more time before walking in front of a truck that passed and when it passed he was gone.
Emily sat there and then her cell phone rang and she picked it up. "Hello?" she answered and waited for a response.
"Stay away from them, don't get involved and you won't get hurt." A strange voice came from the phone before hanging up.
Emily shuddered, and got up and started walking home. What could all of this mean? She thought to herself not paying attention to anything around her.

*Still working on this chapter. thinking about a few different things to end it with, I want to end it with a death of a character, but I don't know, let me know what you guys think.
