Aden looked inside the cave where his mother and father were fighting, well at least his mother was trying to fight with his father. He was scared, frightened by the way his mother was acting towards his father. Sure, this happened all the time but this time, this time was different. This time she attempted to kill him for not waking up early enough. His father was the one to stop her before she had a swipe at him. But, his father got the hardest blow as usual.

Aden was told to go outside, for a walk by his father as he shielded the young cub and he did, but just right outside the cave. He didn't want to leave his parents, especially his father who he was deeply attached to. Sure, he loved his mother, but she hit him and ignored him. His father though, protected him from his mother and provided for him and his mother, because his mother was not about to provide for a son.

Aden, watched the fight with stunned eyes as his father took blows that fataly damaged his body, his mother just ripping at his skin. There was blood everywhere, mostly his fathers. His father finally fell. and that's where he fell, good and hard. His mother dealt a final blow and Aden burst into tears as he saw his fathers breathing stop.

His mother, stared in horror at what she had done and quickly ran off, roughly pushing Aden out of the way. She wasn't ever going to take care of him, after all, he wasn't female like she originally wanted.

Aden stumbled into the cave to where his father was. "No, he can't be dead. Can't." He thought as he nuzzled his father, getting some of his fathers blood on his fur. "Daddy, wake up!" Aden cried, licking his face, "Wake up Daddy!"

Rowan was patroling the borders of the territory, the remainer of his clan had settled in, when he heard the crying. Before.... the incident, he would have gone to find the source immediatly, but back then they patroled in groups, not by themselves. After hesitating for awhile, he crossed the border, and worked his way to the den, that the voice was coming from.

The male sighed, frowning at what he saw in the den, a young Saigh, next to what seemed to be it's father. Moving closer, so he was behind the cub, but a little off to the side. Looking down at the other male's blood, he sighed, and turned to look at the cub, "Little one, your dad isn't going to wake up," he told the black cub. He knew what it felt like to loes someone precious, he had lost almost everyone he knew, but this cub was alone. A feeling Rowan didn't know. "I'm sorry for your lost, and belive me I know how it feels."

Aden, stumbled back, a tad bit frightened of the new voice. He was so focused on the dead male in front of him that he didn't realize another male had came into the cave. He was frightened, his father not waking up and his mother running away from what she had done. He just wanted to crawl up into a little ball and cry, but he just couldn't.

Aden looked up at the male with tear-stained eyes in shock at the other males words. "Not going to wake up? Why? Daddy always wakes up after awhile, always!" He exclaimed shaking his head to and fro. He didn't know anyone who had never woken up and his parents never taught him what death really was. His father always tried to shield him away from death, thinking that he was just way to young to know what it really was. After all, he was only just a cub. His father always made sure to kill the animal so that it wouldn't be bloody or anything of that sort.

He didn't hear the rest of what the Saigh said. He was way to focused on his denying the fact that his father was asleep and would never wake up again, after all, that was just impossible in Adens mind.

The living adult sighed, "Young one, your father isn't gonna wake up, just like the prey you've eaten in the past isn't going to wake. Now come on, lets go to the river, and wash off your dad's blood." He said nudging the cub toward the entrance, the nale would be willing to pick the cub up if that would be what was nessisary to get the little guy away from the bloody corpse. "I'm Rowan, by the way, I'm from deep within the mountains." He smiled at the younger male, showing off his glistening teeth, in a friendly smile.

Aden looked up at the adult as he nudged him along. "B-b-but Daddy said that he doesn't get hurt, that's why he never got hurt when Momma hit him." He sobbed as he looked up at the other male. He wanted to believe the other males words, his gut instincts were telling him to. But, he had such an attachment to his father that he shoved this feeling roughly aside. He tried to go back towards his father but the nudging made it hard for him to do so since he was just so exhausted.

He kept looking back at the dead male, expecting him to wake up at any time...but he didn't. It made Aden extremely sad as his mind came to the realization that his father won't probably ever wake up again.

Aden stared in awe at Rowan. He never knew anyone from the mountains before, or anyone else for that matter. He was always cooped up inside the cave with his mother and father. He was never allowed to go out, his mother wouldn't let him. After all, it was payment for killing her unborn female child, the one that she wanted but never had because Aden took all the good genes. He rarely went out with his father, which usually just a sprint as he and his father ran, ran away from his mother who was angry yet again.

"I-I'm it, you, idiot, unworthy son, idiot, or stupid son, at least that's what Momma calls me. Daddy calls me Aden," the young Saigh croaked as he stopped crying. He had no more tears, they all seemed to dry up and now his throat was dry and he was just a hiccuping mess.

"Let's go with Aden, it sounds like your mom wasn't very nice." The brown Saigh said after the cub introduced himself, "Now come on or am I going to have to carry you?" He asked, half joking . He seemed happy on the outside, knowing that happiness was the best cure for the heartache of lost, but on the inside, the male was burning with anger, Aden's mother better not come back of the camo malew might skin her alive, there were two things one doesn't get away with doing, when Rowan's around. The first is mess with his clan, and the second is harm or abandon a cub or newborn. His eyes seemed to have fire glowing within them, hidden behind the happy twinkle that came with the smile.

"Daddy said that mommy had some problems." Aden croaked. It was true that his mother did have problems after he other child died. Aden didn't know why she had issues, she always seemed sane to him. Aden never went outside so he only had the definition of a sane person from his mother and father, who weren't sane at all. The father was to nice to be considered sane and the mother, will the mother was outright weird.

Aden thought that this male Saigh was interesting. There was something different about him though, he wasn't like his father. His fathers eyes were only kind and caring, there wasn't a mean bone in his fathers body. This Rowan though, there was a different feeling. He didn't feel the same kind and caring feelings from Rowan. Aden couldn't put a paw on it, there was just something different.

Aden took one last look at his fathers corpse and took one shaky step towards Rowan. He didn't want to leave his father, but it looked like he had to.

His legs felt as if they were filled with something extremely heavy. They were so heavy that he could barely move his poor legs. All Aden wanted to do was sleep but he figured that he better follow this Saigh seeing as the older Saigh knew what he was doing.

The older Saigh led the way to a nearby stream, being careful to take routes that'd be easier for the cub to follow, and making sure he didn't get to far ahead. "Okay, now be careful and watch your step, you don't want to aciddently step in the deep spots." He told the cub as he waded into the water, and turned to watch the cub.

"Come over here, so I can help you wash all that off." He instructed the cub, and splashed the water slightly as he made a 'come here' motion with his paw.
