Bouquet galloped in the meadow, happily collecting flowers in her mouth. In the distance, she could see another pony sitting beneath a tree. Brightly colored, it was! Ooh, someone to play with! the pony thought happily, gaining speed.
Of course, Bouquet wasn't going too fast. She didn't want to seem like she was going to ram into the other pony - or do so accidentally. Eek. Although, it sounded like something the overexcited pony would do.
When she finally reached the other, she did her best at smiling. "Hi!" the female greeted, cheerfully. "My name's Bouquet. And yours?"

Fyora was very content to sit under that tree. It was just enough out of the shade that she wasn't too hot in the afternoon sun -- and there were a pair of vibrantly colored birds singing away in the branches above her head. They looked so happy up there in the leaves, hopping from bough to bough, tweeting at each other like they were in a lively conversation...
In the otherwise quiet, it made Fyora admittedly... just a little jealous.
It was hard for her to keep her mouth shut, but unlike Twizzle (who seemed to take to talking to himself in a creepy sort of way), she decided not to keep a one-sided conversation going. But rather, wait for one to, say, fall into her lap?
Carrying flowers no less!
Fyora watched as the very pretty pony came darting out of nowhere and a wide smile broke out. It was warm and inviting and as soon as the other pony spoke, Fyora's melodic voice trilled out in a quick response.
"Hello Bouquet!" she replied happily. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Fyora." Then, only pausing to take a breath, she continued. "What kind of flowers are those? They're so pretty."

Bouquet still held her smile, albeit the awkwardness of having a muzzle and flowers in her mouth. She carefully lowered her head, setting her namesake in front of Fyora. "They're tea roses. My favorite flower!" There were a variety of colors in the bouquet, causing the yellow pony to smile even more. "You can have them if you'd like. I think they'd look really nice in your hair."
The pastel-colored pony used her mouth to affix the small bouquet into the other pony's mane. It was a bit difficult, and it did take some time, but the result was fantastic. At least, Bouquet thought so. "So pretty, Fyora! They really brighten your eyes."

"Really?!" Fyora's voice was practically a squeak when she opened her mouth. Flowers in her mane! What a lovely idea..
Her head cocked to the side and both eyes squinted. She tried desperately to lean in just the right way to be able to see the tea roses perched so nicely in her hair. But it was like trying to see your eyebrows, a failed mission from the beginning.
And probably only proved to make her look like she had an awful facial twitch instead!
"Thank you! I'm sure they're beautiful. You need some to, though, don't you? They'd match your coloring. Which is very pretty, by the way. I don't think I've met a pony yet that looks quite like you do."

Bouquet happily nudged the blue pony, blushing when complimented. "Thank you!" she returned. "I myself have never met such a bold-colored pony as yourself!"
Looking for more flowers? That'd be fun! Surely the meadow's wide selection would prove useful to accent her mane. "That sounds like fun!" Bouquet smiled. "Let's go... wanna see who can get to the patch of mauve roses first?" she dared, smirking. The mauve tea roses were only a few yards away; it shouldn't take long.
And so the pastel pony set off to gallop, eyes locked on the roses. However, as she ran, her back hooves caught on a fallen branch and - Bouquet fell! "Oww.. It hurts.." she moaned quietly. Hopefully her coat wouldn't be too mussed by the fall.

A race, hm? That sounded like fun! Leaving her spot underneath the tree would mean also leaving behind the happily singing birds... well... the birds wouldn't talk back to her, would they, if she tried to speak to them!
Fyora's head turned, peering around Bouquet to spot the flower bed teeming with soft mauve flowers. They wavered back and forth in the breeze, as if trying to taunt her into rushing towards them. Which she had every intention of doing and voiced as such.
"Okaaa~aaay. We can race--.."
But the other pony was already on her way! That wasn't so fair! Fyora scrambled up to all fours, dug her hooves into the soft ground and pushed off into a full gallop. She was right behind Bouquet, and inching in closer with each stride, until the other pony tumbled and crumpled to the ground right in front of her eyes.
A startled gasp escaped Fyora's mouth and she skidded to a stop, leaving a long stretch of uprooted grass as she fought against momentum to stand by Bouquet's side.
"Are you okay!?" she asked quickly, moving around to the yellow pony's side. Fyora gave a gentle nudge with her nose to Bouquet's hind quarters, not trying to move her but to comfort her instead. "What hurts? Can you move your legs?"

Bouquet struggled to rise. "I think I can move them.." she said hopefully. Finally, the yellow pony was up from the ground. She shook off any petals that may have gotten tangled in her mane. "I guess I'm just a bit roughed up. Nothing too bad."
Lying back down, Bouquet nuzzled the mauve roses in the bed near her. They looked so pretty and soft, swayed by the gentle breeze rolling through. "Want to enjoy the flowers with me, Fy?" The pastel pony asked, giggling. The tea roses really tickled when they brushed onto her nose. "Hehe, silly roses."

Fyora's brows furrowed in concern. Bouquet, though she got up, seemed to have trouble doing so. How terrible! Only moments after meeting, what she hoped to be, a new friend... the poor thing was hurt!
Leaning in closer, she pressed her side against Bouquet's just to offer some extra support as she finally stood. She mumbled a quick, "Okay?" once the other pony was up...
Before she was back down again!
At least her legs felt okay to do that, and that was enough for Fyora. So she flopped down into the grass as well and she inched in further to be able to smell the flowers.
"Mm, they smell wonderful!" she exclaimed, her eyes dancing with excited delight. "Very pretty flowers." Then cocking her head, she nudged one of the roses carefully towards Bouquet, so the petals sat against the other pony's mane. "They match you!"

Bouquet giggled, smiling. "Yes, they do." Looking over at Fyora, the lighter pony's eyes widened. Stuttering, she managed to choke out, "Uh, F-Fy. . There's a big bee above your head!" Frozen, Bouquet mustered all her strength and courage. With that, she took her hoof and thwacked the bee right onto the ground. What did she learn when it rose back in the air?
She had made a very bad mistake.

Both eyes of her own mirrored Bouquet's -- they were as wide as teacup saucers when the other pony mentioned the bee.
Immedaitely, Fyora ducked her head down and not a moment too soon! For a hoof went flying above her skull and a small zzzzzzz..... slowly faded as the bee hit the ground.
"Whew. Thank you! I don't like insects, they always like to buzz in my mane and they have those creepy legs, and why would any creature need more than two eyes?! It's just strange and--.."
But that small zzzzzzzz.....ing seemed to grow much larger than before as the bee, now angered, rose from between the flowers.
Fyora heard it and swallowed thickly, realizing maybe she shouldn't have said anything because obviously, the bee had heard her and only made it even more angry!
Standing perfectly still, Fyora gestured with her muzzle to point in the opposite direction, whispering to Bouquet. "Can you run? The lake is over that way. If we can get there, the bee will go away." Then without waiting for a reply, she continued. "Go in 3..... .....2.......... .........1........
"RUN!
