Nature: Obsessive
I was born in a burrow near Mirror Lake. My pack was small- my parents, my mother's sister, and my two brothers. When I was just beginning to come on hunts, a larger pack took our territory, killing my mother and aunt. The resulting pack- of my father, my brothers, and I- roamed the wilds. We fought often- our father was a mean, crazy old wolf. In one particularly bad fight, the worst fight, my father struck me across the face with his claws, hitting my eye. My brothers killed our father there so he wouldn’t kill me.
We three tried to survive on our own, but soon we were starving. My eye became infected. Eventually we collapsed in a pile, unable to go on. One of my brothers died before the shadow-walkers found us. They took the us back to the labs and we were separated. I never saw the last remaining member of my family again. He’s probably dead, too.
The shadow-walkers made me sleep. They did something to me, something strange while I slept. They must have, for some reason helped me. They saved my life, though my eye must’ve already been destoryed. When I awoke, I was in terrible pain. It felt like fire laced my muscles, like lightning shot down my veins. It felt like my bones had turned to sand. I lay in a cage for five days, my only movement pain-induced fits. Finally, late on the fifth day, the pain lessened enough for me to stand it. In the corner of the cage, I found a dead dog, which I ate eagerly. As I ate, strength seemed to rush into my body. I was stronger, wilder, than ever. I left only ragged fur and cracked bones of my meal, then began attacking the cage walls. For hours I tore at them, but they never gave, never even scratched. Eventually I rested.
When I woke, I found myself deep within the wilds. I was clad in pieces of gold. I tore off everything I could, but some still remained. I found a boulder and sat on it, watching the world around me and trying to decide what to do next. As I contemplated, a herd of deer came near, not noticing me. My stomach growled for food. With the confidence of a pup of the age I was then, I went after the lead buck- a monestrous animal for its kind. The deer would have been able to fend off any normal wolf with its sharp antlers, but I was no longer normal. I lunged onto its back and snapped its neck in my jaws.
It was only after I had eaten the deer that I realized what I had done- what I had become. I became a true lone wolf- I had no pack, I needed no pack, I wanted no pack. That’s how it was, that’s how it is. I don’t think it’ll change- not anytime soon, anyway. Occasionally, I’ll take in another wolf or two for a pawful of suns, but I never join a pack. The pain still comes back, sometimes. It might come for a few minutes, or it might come for a few suns. But I survive- I always survive.  Teuthida rps in bold size nine lightpink font.
