Things seemed to be going well for Frost. He had recently been reunited with his sister Eirwen. He hated to admit it, but he had a soft spot for the sweet little thing and had missed her a lot growing up. She was the only one he actually trusted. She would be of great help with rebuilding the Clan.
Though she now had a companion. Frost frowned as he though about the pale green cub named Kerr. He had no idea where she had found the thing, but she was obviously attached to it. He sighed. Who knows, maybe the boy would grow strong. He would have to train him if he was going to stay with them. Eirwen had already started with that. Right now she and the boy were on a hunting trip - she was teaching him the basics.
Of course that meant Frost was on his own for a while. He didn't have anything to do so he was just stretched peacefully under the thick shade of a tree. He would have fallen asleep from boredom if a cat with a light blue pelt had not appeared. At first he thought it was his sister, but then he saw it was a different female. His ears perked, this could be interesting.

Aileena had decided that today would be a good day for finding more herbs to stockpile. She never knew when a heavily overcast day would limit her vision, and she couldn't be without certain herbs, since she had a tendency to injure herself quite a lot, and it was just too difficult to deal with without blood stopping and pain reducing herbs. She had found that the blood stopping herbs were found generally deeper into the forest, but the pain reducing herbs sometimes grew in the in between area where the trees of the forest still grew sporadically, but the plains grass was starting to take over. Since it was still not quite bright enough for her to be comfortable in the full forest, with it's dappled light, the best use of the morning would be hunting for herbs in the brighter regions. As she padded along, her attention was a bit overly focused on searching for more of the herbs that she had already stored tucked between the toes on her front feet. Someday she would like to devise a better way to carry the small plants, but for now, this method worked fine.
Just as her nose sensed another of the sharply smelling herbs, her eyes locked on the form of a rather large male. Stopping dead in her tracks, Ailee couldn't do much more than watch him for movement and hope that she hadn't gotten herself into trouble.

Frost watched the female, wondering what she would do next. After a while it became apparent she wasn't going to move. A small smile tugged at his lips when he thought that she was probably scared of him. Normally he didn't appreciate others intruding on his privacy, but luckily for her today he was in a good mood. And it seemed she just hadn't noticed him in the shadow of the tree until he had moved. Her blue coat was also a bonus point, she could have easily come from his birth clan. He made a mental note to ask her about her origin when she was a little more relaxed.
"Well, don't just stand there. I'm not gonna hurt you." He told her and sat up. "Actually, I was feeling rather bored. I'd love some company, if you're not in a hurry or something." He added, hoping that she would stay. Eirwen and the cub wouldn't be back until later and he wanted someone to keep him company for a while.

Seeing a small curve at the edges of the male's lips, Aileena desperately hoped that that would be a positive sign. Then again, he could be smiling that easy prey had stumbled into his reach, so it wasn't actually all that reassuring. His words, though, pulled her out of her frozen position, and while she realized that she couldn't actually trust his statement that he wouldn't hurt her, at least it meant that he didn't have any immediate desire to hurt her.... Would a predator really tell his next meal that he wouldn't hurt it? Well, perhaps, but maybe not in this case.... His next statement made her trust him even a bit more, and so she straightened up from the semi crouch she had assumed and padded towards the shade, watching him carefully as she did so. Normally Ailee wasn't really that worried about another Saigh trying to eat her, since in general, they weren't cannibalistic creatures, but this male was so large that her instincts told her to be afraid.
"N-no, I-I'm not in a h-hurry." Oh that was great, if he hadn't been sure if she was easily intimidated before, he would certainly know now. He could probably have just yelled something loudly and it would have sent her running.... Even if it was something along the lines of bunnies.... She waited in a standing position until his spoke again, still not completely reassured that she was safe from violence.

For a moment Frost thought that the female was going to turn around and run away. When she didn't his smile turned more friendly and he tried to look as non-threatening as possible. He could smell her apprehension. He chuckled slightly at her stutter, in an amused kind of way that wasn't supposed to offend her.
"Good!" He smiled charmingly, happy that he had found some company. "You really should relax." If he had been in one of his moods her timidness would have really amused him. But he didn't want her to be afraid and it irked him that she was. He din't show it tough, it would have an unwanted negative effect. "I meant what I said earlier, you don't have to be scared. My name is Frost." He bowed his head as he introduced himself. "May I ask what is your name, lovely lady?"
He looked at the herbs that she had tucked between her toes and wondered why was she gathering them. "Are you a healer?"

The male's soft laughter and otherwise charming and friendly attitude was easing some of Aileena's fears, even though her logical mind told her that a pretty smile was not a good reason for trusting an animal. At his suggestion that she relax, the light blue femme took a deep breath and settled down into the grass. She was mostly out of his easy reach, which reassured her, though she was starting to feel that it was a silly precaution. Listening to him further, she tried for a smile, but it came off rather shakily since her nerves were still pulling unrelentingly at her muscles. His question though, not the actual question but what he had called her, caught her a bit off guard and she blinked rather rapidly a few times. Had he just called her lovely? She didn't recall any male calling her something like that before, and the logical part of her mind insisted that it was just another charming addition to his charming little show, but she still couldn't help being flattered and getting a bit warm in her face, "I-I'm Aileena, Ailee...." She had added on her shortened name as an after thought, but she didn't remember anyone ever calling her by her full name in her cubhood, so Ailee really did suit her better. "I-It's nice to m-m-meet you, Frost." She had taken special care not to stutter his actual name, even if all the words leading up to it failed to come out smoothly.
Following his gaze quickly with her eyes, she saw the herbs that she still had tucked away. Being reassured that they hadn't been crushed when she had settled onto the grass without considering them, she looked back up to Frost's face as she thought about the question. "Well, I guess so...." Being on a subject such as her herb collecting and healing made it much easier for her to steady her words, since she didn't worry about them as much, "I mostly use them to heal myself, since I run into things a-a lot.... But I've helped others before, I helped this little cub once who had hurt the muscles in her leg...." When her blue eyes connected with the male's again, a sharpness shown in them, almost daring him to contradict her proposed skill in healing. It was the one thing that she really was fairly good at, mostly because she had been forced to find remedies for herself, and so she didn't want anyone to question that ever.

The blue male smiled once again and replied. "It's nice to meet you too, Ailee." Since this was their first encounter, Frost felt using her full name was more proper, but since she had given him her short name he figured the female preffered it. He really wanted her to feel comfortable in his company and using the name she was better used to seemed like a good start.
Frost noticed how her stutter disappeared as she talked about her skills as a healer. That made him think she must be fairly confident in them and the look in her eyes confirmed that suspicion. He looked at her with more respect now. Being a healer was no easy thing. "That is a very useful skill." He said. "I don't know much about healing." Unlike rogue Saigh who mostly had to look after themselves, Frost had grown up in a Clan and had had others to rely on, should he get hurt. The Healers were treated with just as much respect as the clan's Hunters or Warriors - what they did was just as important.

The nervous female bopped her head in a brief nod, noticing that Frost had used her shortened name. The phrase had a ring of familiarity to it, settling her nerves slightly, even though she knew that there was no reason for the use of her shortened name to comfort her. She still hardly knew this male, though it did seem that he truly wasn't going to eat her or injure her at this moment, since he would have had had plenty of chances by now.... She failed to notice the increased respect in his gaze, mostly because she wasn't expecting any such thing from a male really, so when he voiced his opinion of her skill, she was a bit taken aback. A faint blush reddened the skin on her cheeks, though she said nothing on the matter. She really didn't know how to take such compliments.....
Though she knew that this would be a point in conversation when she should say something new and interesting, such a topic completely escaped her, and so Ailee remained quiet, hoping that the male would either decide she was boring and leave, or come up with something else to discuss himself. These awkward pauses were exactly why she avoided long conversations.... She just wasn't good at them....

frost waited for the female to say something, anything. Tough it seemed she wasn't going to. He didn't mind tough, he appreciated a quiet moment for his thoughts. This female was on her own, she wasn't a part of a clan or such. She was shy and a bit of a klutz, if her earlier statement was anything to go by, but her knowledge about herbs and healing methods would useful. His gaze returned to her and he looked her up and down, still debating with himself.
"I was born into a clan." He said suddenly. "But we were attacked when I was a little more than a cub. We scattered all over the Plains." He looked away from her, with a far-off look in his eyes. "I want to revive my clan and now I am searching for old members and gathering new ones." Here he looked back at her. "It would be nice to have someone with your talent." His voice was smooth and he smiled at her fondly. He was trying to be as welcoming as possible. However if she refused, well so be it.

Aileena hadn't noticed it, but she had actually been holding her breath during the silence, either because she hadn't wanted to disturb the quiet, or because she was so distressed about her lack of conversation skills, she couldn't be quite sure which was the true cause, and it was likely a bit of both. When he started speaking again, she couldn't be sure exactly why he chose the topic he did, but it was interesting to her, and she found herself nodding and sympathizing with him. She had certainly not been expecting an invitation to a clan however. The blue female's eyes grew wide at the offer and she found herself completely at a loss for words. She had never lived with any other Saigh since she had been separated from her mother, though she had heard of groups of Saigh banding together, whether they were family or not, she had just never thought any of them would want a rogue like her. Since it was quite obvious that she did need to say something, anything, at this point in the conversation, Ailee blurted out, "Wh-what? Y-you w-want m-m-me?" The whole concept of being wanted and needed and appreciated by another Saighneian or group wasn't really one that the very solitary rogue was accustomed to, though the idea did intrigue her. But this male must be mistaken about her value, or she had heard him incorrectly, he couldn't possibly want her to be a part of his clan....
