Right now I have D'Addario's mediums. They are ok. But I wanna get some Elixers. I hear that they are like, the best. But just go with whatever you like, it's all up to your personal taste.

From my experience, elixirs have a great string life...

... for the 3 deepest strings. I don't think I'd have anything other than elixirs on my basses. If you play a lot of power chords and don't solo much, I'd definitely give those a go.

I honestly barely notice a difference. I suppose I may not have stuck with any one brand long enough to figure out the differences. For right now, though, I'm playing D'Addario 10s.
