Letho managed an indignant huff and, in a voice just the same... "I am nobody's dinner." she insisted. Her gaze moving back and forth between each of the three fox-ponies.

"He did say one thing correct. You're mine. They won't touch you." He said with a grin, possessively holding his higher head over hers.

Letho scoffed and shuffled about a little bit, a faint blush rising to her face.
"I am not yours." she began, "You are my Shadow."

"If you say so," he grinned, slowly nudging the baby ponies into the box. "I think, it has been a long day."

Letho peered over her shoulder before leaning down to nose the babies into the box, just the same as Nightshade's Fury.
She looked back and forth again, and suddenly felt a tiny head bumping into her leg. A glance down revealed that the little head belonged to one of the baby girls, at least she assumed it was a baby girl.
Letho stared at the small pony so hard her eyes began to cross and she had to look away for a moment.
The pony headbutting her had the same colouring as the orb that bumped into her and startled her when she first examined them.
"Oh, I remember you." she whispered, leaning her head down, "inside you go, little memory."
She peered up at Nightshade's Fury and cleared her throat quietly, suddenly feeling a bit awkward, "Um..." she began, but had no idea how she intended to finish.

Nightshade's Fury nudged the last pony into the box. He stared at it. It stared at him. A staring contest with their eyes closed.
He drew his attention away and looked at Letho.
"You're the only girl I've ever brought back here," he started. "My brothers are shocked. Must be fate."

Letho watched in silent amusement at the "staring contest." When he looked towards her, she directed her gaze to his closed eyes, still not quite understand how he could see.
She peered into the box after them, watching the ponies curl up against one another. "They are adorable." she whispered, so as not to wake them.
"Fate?" for whatever reason, Letho was not fond of the idea of fate, but said nothing more.
"But..." her voice held a touch of concern- perhaps of not wanting to offend? "I would much rather sleep under the stars." she shifted her weight back and forth, her head turned down.

"Fate, that thing called Seraphim."
He continued to stare at her as he slowly sat down and rolled onto the grass beside the box. "I like grass."

She laughed suddenly, laying down onto her stomach with her legs curled beneath herself, "Seraphim is not fate-" she cut off her sentence.
Letho wondered, suddenly, if maybe it WAS Seraphim's doing. Nightshade's Fury finding her. Finding him. Becoming lost. She frowned a frown so deep that it darkened her eyes, even in the moonlight.
"What if it was all just for amusement?" she asked, her voice heavy.

He thought for a moment, "He probably just wanted to get a laugh at my expense... but if that were the case it would be another pony and not you. He said he likes you. Anyways, it is too late now. You can't lose your shadow."

She stared intently at Nightshade's Fury, "I think he was just trying to tease you..."
She sighed deeply, laying her head down on her front legs, "It wouldn't bother you if it were like that?"

"Would it bother you?" He asked. "I'm quite satisfied. I get to laugh that he screwed up, if it were like that."

She closed her eyes, thinking. "I... Don't know." she answered, as honestly as she could.
"But I will never know." she opened her fiery eyes and found herself looking directly at her shadow. "I do not think I would change it, though..."

He rolled around on his back much like a fox in the grass, and then rubbed his head against the ground more like a horse before looking up at the night sky. "Then that's all we need to know."
