Well it's very hard to say, they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. I think you should really set more limits on it.

Like "Who would you rather be friends with".

I mean Lelouch is cool, and he seems a more honest person then Zero. THen again Zero IS just totally badass. So it's hard to say...

Since they both are the same person... you could say they are the two sides of Lelouch, and i think that like Rei said, they have their advantages and disadvantages. However, since it seems i ought to give an answer, i would say Lelouch, because he isn't so much a manipulative person and while he basically thought only of nunnally and himself, we didn't use extreme measures to keep themselves happy.

yeah... so often, it seems people are forced to "do evil to destroy the greater evil" even if there are better ways to stop it.

oh i understand that but he did it out of anger. He should have gotten a full story and like atleast like locked up the place trapping them there and saving all the people that where trapped first. Then give the rest their judgement

Even in the right state of mind he couldnt let anyone out of there because who knows what geass powers were inside there any person in there could have had a geass or was possibly under a geass to let any of them out could have negative effects later on if anything he should have just trapped all of them inside there for eternity. also as we saw with one of zero's soldiers he saw children and wanted to help them and got put under a geass and started to fight his own people that there is an example of what could have happend if zero/lolouch would have tried save the scientists and the other non-geass civilians.
