Michael just bit into his sandwich, not taking the bait of that comment. Instead he brought up the girl from earlier. "So, whats the deal on that girl Mina? Random vagabond or what?"

Banshi took a bite from the egg salad. It was good, she loved egg salad. Then she answered him, leaning against the counter. "...I'm positive she was a slave, or an indentured servant before this. She doesn't feel comfortable with telling me yet, which I completely understand..." She smiled sadly, looking down into the bowl. "We're nothing more than strangers, after all. But that does not matter... she's a human, and a young girl. I can't bring myself to think she really has any fault in the bad things that have happened to her, again, whatever they may have been."

"Interesting." Michael mused, finishing off the sandwich and tossing the plastic it was wrapped in. "Well, I hope she gets better, mentally that is." Boredly, he started to fiddle with the little silver cross he wore on his neck. "So, where do we go from here love?"

"I'd like you to get everyone together again by the end of the week. guerrilla tactics worked well for us... but it's time to regroup." She took another bite. "....when I was younger, the elder cruniks always had us stay together. This is what killed us off, and that is why I always kept checks on everyone, but never allowed more than two crusniks to even go near each other. But now... no, for the past two hundred years, that has been changing." Banshi put the lid on the container and placed it back into the fridge. "From here-" She turned around, smiling. "Let's go outside to take a smoke, you still look pretty stiff after seeing Kirai. Probably did you in enough, the thought of your precious books and files being re-arranged."

Mike shrugged and started outside with her. "You aren't still smoking that clove stuff are you?" He hated the smell, not because of the cigarette but just clove in general.

"Of course." Banshi responded, reaching into her pocket and pulling out a box of clove cigs. She grinned, it was funny how much she loved these things and how much Michael hated them. "I lost my pipe... man I hate these things." They walked outside in the snow. Banshi turned the package upside down and hit it with the palm of her hand, then turning it right side up and opening it. "Having them pre-rolled and where I don't have to take out the tobacco, carefully place it in the pipe, light it with several small puffs, then afterwards dump it out replace the filter and clean it makes smoking these things so much easier." She pulled one out then took out a lighter, balancing it on the edge of her lips. Her lighter was running low, she sighed with frustration. The wind didn't help. "Makes it harder to stop and easier to chain smoke."

"I thought willpower was one or your strong points." Michael mused, whipping out a military lighter and lighting Banshi's cigarette with ease. He had been doing this for a few hundred years now, he knew a thing or two about lighters. "One, we'll just smoke one tonight." He said, half hearted, lighting his own cigarette.
Three cigarettes later, Michael was feeling only more enraged and was about to light up once more until an idea struck him. "Hey, I just remembered I needed to call a friend. I'll be right back okay?" Quickly, he ran over to the side of the building where Banshi wouldn't hear him and dialed a number on his cell phone. It rang for a few moments but eventually a slick voice on the other end picked up. "This is Neri. What do you need?"
"Sal." Michael said quietly. "I need a favor of you."
"Ah, the ever-so-holy Michael needs a favor from the demon blooded serial killer. Doesn't your church have something against that?"
"Shut it." Mike continued, a little anger in his voice. "It involves Kirai and Edward."
There was a short pause between the two before Sal spoke again. "You have my attention." His voice also held a taint of anger now, but for a different reason.
Mike smiled and spoke. "To put it simply, I need your special...talents."
"My talents are yours." Sal said, straightening his voice up a little. "So what, you want them dead?"
"Yes, but not right now. For now, I still need at least Edward alive. And I want the pleasure of killing Kirai myself. So, just do enough to force them back to the RCS building, I'll handle it from there."
"Whatever you say, Father Michael." Salazar said in a mocking tone. Though he had a point, since Father Barzini died, he had been handling Mass every Sunday.
Mike hung up, and went back to Banshi. "Sorry about that, want to go inside? It's kinda cold."
