I just found out that one of my very good friends/"adoptive mother" has died. Miss Laura Barnes, 7th grade science teacher at Tulsa Public. She'd known me since I was born, she joked about adopting me, because she never had kids.
I could talk to her about ANYTHING and not be judged, she gave wonderful advice, and now, she is gone..
She was WAY too young to die. She was 54. She had neck problems for years, so she finally got surgery. The operation went well, but afterwards she had a blood clot and she is now braindead. They're only keeping her alive so they can get her organs. I know what room she's in, what hospital.. I'm so afraid to go see her though.
I loved her like a mother.
Oh god, I can't ******** stop crying over her!
How do you deal with this?

I'm so sorry, I've never been in this situation so I wouldn't know what to do.
All I can offer is that maybe you should force yourself go see her, even if she won't know it. You might regret not going later on.

You should go see her. You know, thank her for all that she's done for you. Even if it registers or not, you'll feel so much better after having gone. And you most likely will regret not going.
I wish you luck and offer my condolences during this hard time. <3
