Name: Karatsu

Physical Description: Karatsu is at slightly average height. He is a bit taller then others being at six feet. His skin is white being slightly tan from the time he has spent training. The headband is very large and extends to below his back. Karatsu has slender shoulders as well as slender back muscles. His waist is bold and large matching is over muscled body. His hair is jet black with streaks of brown in them. It sticks up a little bit and then points forward. Some strands of hair hang over the head band. He wears samurai trousers with the armor clad that goes down from the waist. The armor some what looks like dragon scales. The armor and pants is red and black. Karatsu wears this over his standard shinigami uniform. His face is kind with a hint of malice. The muscles in his bicep are slender. His forearms are covered in veins and are very large like the rest of his body. His mouth is bigger then expect and he has long skinny teeth that are somewhat crooked. Because of his large amount of strength his speed is lacking.


Zanpakutou: Karatsu’s sword is about four feet when it is not in any form. Ridges go from where the hilt to near the tip of the blade. The ridges point out about one centimeter and the curve towards the tip of the sword. The hilt is black. A thin string extends from the bottom of the hilt. It has a bell that makes no noise yet gives an eerie feeling when looked at. The name of his Zanpakutou is kamisori (razor). The sword is held on his back by a simple string. The blade is average in color, having no difference then any other Zanpakutou.

Zanpakutou Spirit: The Zanpakutou's spirit is of a old man. But he is no regular old man. He is small but fit and muscularly. He wears just shorts that are torn and he has big classed that are like mirrors. They cover up most of his face. He always smile most of the time only to show of his superiority. He has a scruffy beard. His face has winkles but he is a good looking for being so old. He has a fighter spirit to him. He rushes in and thinks Karatsu is an old man when he does not do thinks quick enough. Kamisori is his name and acts like a invigorated 20 year old. He acts tough all the time.

Unreleased:
Karatsu can throw his sword at very fast speeds. You can hardly see them since he is so strong. He lacks speed but has tremendous attack speed.

Shikai: “Live again, Kamisori” (Razor) Not Achieved
While in shikai Karatsu’s weapon changes very little. There is barely any way to tell that it is in shikai at first, the only change is that it looks older and fragile, but in reality has gotten much stronger. The blade does not grow in size or change in shape although it does possess its own strength which releases with Karatsu’s attack “reborn”. Once he is truly in his shikai’s full power, it does get larger and a black reiatsu surrounds him. This black reiatsu is stronger then his normal, and has no special power besides its strength. While in shikai Karatsu gets a power gain and once he uses reborn he gets a speed gain as well. A short chain grows from under the hilt. As Karatsu throws his Zanpakutou the chain will get longer when it needs to.

Shikai attacks:

Reborn: This attack releases the shikai completely. This is an attack that was created so that Karatsu could hide his power easier yet still be able to act as though he was at his strongest power. Because of this attack he can use his shikai to either half of its potential or its full potential. He can not use his shikai attack without first being in reborn. When in reborn he can stay this way until he changes it back, because all it is doing is releasing its true power. His weapon gets longer and the blade turns pure white. A black reiatsu surrounds his weapon and becomes stronger and faster, although he is only at average speed because of this.

Blitz: A large amount of black reiatsu emits from his weapon and is launched outwards in a short range radius blast. After this attack Karatsu is much more powerful for a few moments, or he can shorten the range of the blitz to make it more effective. If Karatsu shortens the range to around him only, it makes him much stronger for 5 minutes before the power of blitz runs out. When he does blitz on himself he cannot do it again in a fight, yet he can use the move 3 times in a fight.

Throwing sword:
When he does this is shikai the sword travels almost at shunpo in shikai.

Bankai: “bankai, kame kamisori” (divine razor) not achieved
While in bankai karatsu’s power increases to the utmost degree. It grows to an enormous power. His sword looks very old and looks as though it was centuries old. It now looks like it is made of stone. It is actually almost indestructible, and slowly gets stronger. During the fight it looks as though it is getting newer and newer until it looked as though it did in shikai, which at that point it changes into brand new blade, the weapon’s blade looking very large and wide, the size of three blades and the weight of 10. It is hard for anyone but karatsu to wield. He is surrounded by black reiatsu that is very powerful, and he can stay in this form as long as he needs to. He has the same attacks as the other form, and can use reborn to unleash its true power earlier in the fight. Blitz is also much stronger.
Devour: this is the strongest attack he knows. The blade instantly explodes with black reiatsu and surrounds the enemy. It is constantly sucking out their reiatsu and sending blitz’s to attack them. This attack lasts for five minutes at which karatsu has to revert back to shikai, not able to use bankai for a while. Chain still remains.

Throwing sword:
The Zanpakutou can travel at Shunpo.

Skills: Karatsu does have two skills. He has a way with words. It saved him in many situations. His charisma can subdue people into things they don’t want to do. This talent is paranormal in how good he is at talking. He once convinced a rich man to give all his money to him and some poor children who needed it. The man did for some reason. He is also an excellent thief, pickpocket. That was how he made much of his living as a young adult. He is very sly with his hands.

Abilities: Karatsu has average strength. He has average speed. He can swim very fast. His mouth is what is most astonishing. It can chop through almost any thing. It is difficult for the untrained to get free from the jaws when he has hold. He can eat through alloy steel in one bite. Karatsu is also athletic and he uses his jaw to grip things as he moves. This attack method is more used then with his sword and with the combination it can be deadly.

Personality: Karatsu is a kind person who helps people in need or loss souls in his case. He likes the ladies and he gets plenty of them with his smooth talking. He almost always smiles at people he sees. He makes jokes at series times. Only when the situation looks grieve. Karatsu is lighthearted most of the time. He does not prefer his job that much but when the situation demands him to be series he always obliges. He never takes any thing too personally. When ever he gets in an argument and wants it to end he will simply smile at the person and let time heal things. Karatsu is sadistic when in combat. It’s like his most in feelings come out and through this he likes to feel pain he enjoys it exceeding. When he is not fighting he is calm and poised. He is kind of bipolar when it comes to fighting and not fighting. A small example is he might be all nice to some one and a little bit corky but then in the next minute he might try to kill you.

Biography/History: Karatsu was born in a little fishing town in Osaka. His father owned a boat and caught several fish and sold them but there wasn’t much fish in that bay not with the huge fishing boats. He grew up a poor child. His mother died when she gave birth too him. He had two older brothers that loved and took care of Karatsu while there father went to catch fish. Karatsu loved the water. Every day he swam. He got really good by the age of fifteen. Although he was poor he was loved dearly not only by his brothers and father but most of the neighborhood. As he grew up, he became fond of the local orphan children. They were all of his friends. Looked over them and took care of them. When he turned sixteen, his father was killed by two criminals that worked under the crime lord in the next village. Karatsu’s father own Jyama the crime lord a big loan. He failed to pay and his life was taken. The next day, Jyama had the men who killed Karatsu’s father, come kill him and his brothers. Karatsu had left to get some food. Karatsu was angry and wanted to kill the men who killed his father. His eyes burned with hatred. Karatsu came home to a bloody horror. His brothers were slaughter mercilessly. He shouted and screamed and tore the place down in anger. After that he had no but the orphans. He too was an orphan. After that he became a thief to feed him and the children. He became very talented very quickly. He changed drastically. He never showed it but he still cared for people but he acted hateful all the time. When he was out swimming, late in the night seven men went up to the dock and waited for him. He wasn’t surprised when they showed up. He was just waiting for them to show the up and finish off his family. He didn’t fight it. Two men grabbed his burly arms while the others punched him till coughed blood. They then began to cut him open. They ripped out his organs and threw him in his favorite place in the world, the ocean.
