Who would win in a foot race Shadow or Sonic. Personally I say Shadow because he's like freakin fast.

Sonic and Shadow are the same speed BUT I notice that it would be sonic as a footrace does not allow skates and Shadow uses skates sweatdrop
Meaning ... eek
Sonic wins by default rolleyes

Personally I dont recall Shadow ever doing a sonic boom (breaking the speed of sound) but Sonic is well know for it so I would have to say Sonic heart

Sonic is know for his speed (and being a hero and other things) but speed is the main thing about him (and a pure heart)
On the other hand Shadow is more about chaos powers from the chaos emeralds and the only time Sonic thought he would lose on speed is when Shadow was using a Chaos emerald to warp and then Sonic noticed that and seemed less impressed by his speed ...
That's just my interpretation of the events so you might disagree but Sonic would win just like I always get beaten by Sonic on Sonic adventure 2 battle (If I was able to be player 1 and sonic I would win sweatdrop (<--- Clear excuse :p)

Hm lets think, I'm not the smartest Sonic fan, but I do believe Sonic would win. But from what I hear, Aren't they the same speed.

Well, I think Rizel had a really good point. Shaodws never made a sonic boom. But now that twilights come out, wouldn't a more pressing question be "Who would win in a long-distance footrace, Edward or Sonic?"

Blages Who is Edward ... Sounds like someone who is slow compared to sonic... Aperently in twilight, vampires are super fast. So fast you hardly see them. Edward is a very fast vamire, but i don't think he can make a sonic boom.

lol I have to agree with the Sonic people. Sonic would definitely win. If it was a Power contest, THEN that would be something to dispute about lol.

Sonic would still win on the majority of it, it is sonic the hedgehog games and only 1 shadow the hedgehog one
