My new boyfriend and I only get to see each other once or twice a week. We have sex 2-3 times when we get to see each other.

I went to his house yesterday and we had sex twice. The second time he had some trouble getting hard, but I just figured it was because we tried so soon after the first time. Then we tried again this morning, and he still had trouble. He even became soft after he had been inside of me and we started. D:

This has never happened before. Is it because we have been having sex so much? He says that he is turned on, so he doesn't understand why it is happening.

It could be because you guys have so much sex in a short amount of time. Not all guys can go that often, especially when they get older. Or it could be that he's still a bit nervous about performing and may be trying too hard or thinking about it too much.

Pretty much what I was going to say. 3nodding

And on a side note, I don't know if it applies to your boyfriend or not, but sometimes some medications (like antidepressants) will mess with a guy's libido a bit. They can have a lower sex drive, have problems getting and/or staying hard, and others.

There's no set age or anything. But many guys can go at it a few times a day when they are young (in puberty and their teens). But then the number of times that they can go at it often starts to slowly go down as they get older.

He's 24, so I don't think being older is the issue.

I will just have to try not to wear him out, haha. I think being worried about it also played a role, because he was kinda stressed about it. He seemed like he was hoping it wouldn't happen again, and when it did he was like "wow, not my day today."

well, I'm 25 and I feel like a nymph sometimes due to the need of sex so much, I try not to base any relationship upon it, so while being..very sexually active, I'll still would like to do other things as well, like going out to eat or seeing a movie, but of course, after end of those things I'll just have sex on my mind anyway

Sex drives do vary a lot from person to person. Men usually hit their sexual peak around 18. So like I said, your sex drive will probably slowly decrease as you age.

I don't think it's abnormal to be thinking about sex after going on a date. However, if you feel like you might have a sex addiction or if you aren't able to get day to day things done because of an obsession with sex, it might be worth talking to a professional about. Because sex is very healthy, but some people actually have a lot of trouble controlling themselves. And that can lead to serious problems in terms of pregnancy, STDs, cheating, not getting house work done, or even getting fired if caught in the coat closet with another employee!

I think it might be the nerves, I don't know.

When I saw my boyfriend on a near-regular basis,
it would be for about 2 to 5 days at a time...
And we would have sex about 3 or 4 times a day,
and he never had this problem... :<

It could also be because he's tired ?
