The seasons spent in that one particular spot next to that one particular tree was enough to drive just about anyone mad with restlessness, and that included the hulk of a leopard pearl mare. Spending such time with a nonsense little stallion who picked and picked at her for just about anything surely had not helped the situation. But he was gone now, thankfully, and her task had finally been fullfilled. Now she had gotten a bit side-tracked, she'll admit to that, but the consequences to such actions weren't enough to make it a negative experiance. The mare looked back over her shoulder, sure to see the two foals colored mostly after herself. Not negative, but annoying. The two brats knew nothing of this world just yet, and that left Evelaune with the task of teaching them all the cruelties of Urin. Maybe then they'd be able to survive without her to watch their every, little step. They'd have to, she wasn't going to be there all the time.
It was then that Eve began to get an inkling of a plan, an idea that had been tumbling around her mind for quite some time, but had not yet come to fruitition. She should teach them how to take care of themselves as quickly as possible, that survival meant beating your neighbor to stealing what was yours, and being strong enough to wrestle it back to your grasp. Survival of the fittest. But how would she be able to pull such a thing off? The 18.2 hand aeri mare tossed her large head and swung it around to view the valley and its inhabitants. Her posture was not that of a new mother, as it never was, but held high in intimidation and her gait full of purpose. For when you held yourself with confidence, not many wished to screw with you and your lot. And Eve had plenty of confidence.
As she walked a stranger that happened to be in close proximety shied away, his rump having been in her direct path. Whether from her sheer size or the fact she showed no signs of stopping or recalculating her path was difficult to tell. Eve took one look at the surprised little mook and the plan snapped into place. This small Jala stallion could be of use. The mare halted her gait and craned her neck around to stare at the twins. "Girls, come here. Quickly." This was no time to dwadle, the fool might attempt escape and Eve wasn't keen on chasing him down.
