---Notes---
-----------------
(Note One: the Ancients are older then Eragon and Eldest. Eragon was a book published on January 6 2005 and the story on the Ancients is way older then that book so please do not confuse the two! If you look at when this guild was made it was originally called "Reis Legend and then I changed the name and desided to widen its possibilities. When the subforum system came out, It helped a lot and allowed me to make a subforum specially made for this RP. My friends and I used to LARP, yes that right! LARP - live action role play - out side and that's a long time ago, plus then I made it into a rp on gaia which was my first actual rp on gaia. Then I saved up and made this guild based off of it.

Chapter One: The Legend of the Ancients

The Great Spirits and Mother Earth
The Mother Earth gave birth to the mortal world and its creatures. It also gave birth to the great spirits for the soul purpose protect her and its creations while she slept for eternity. The great spirits are the White Dragon of Light, The Phoenix of Knowledge, The Unicorn of Judgment, and the Griffin of darkness.

The Role of the White Dragon
The duty of the white dragon was to bring light to the world and do what ever was necessary to keep it safe without interfering directly. The white dragon created dragons of all kinds to protect the world from demons.

The Role of the Phoenix
The soul purpose for the phoenix is to carry knowledge of every thing and share fragments of it to the world. The phoenix created the great elements of the world such as water, lightning, fire, earth, and so on.

The Role of the Unicorn
The unicorns duty was to make sure there was Judgment to the world. The unicorn created the laws of nature such as gravity to make sure the world stayed together.

The Role of the Griffin
The Griffin's duty was to keep balance between spirits and creatures on the world. The griffin created the shadows counter the light to keep this balance.

The Wyrm in the shadows
When the earth was made so was a counter entity called the wyrm. Its soul purpose in the world was to destroy, corrupt, and bring suffering. The Great spirits could not face the creature so they locked it away trapping it in between reality. To do this that meant that the earth would need to be split, and what ever happened to one earth, something to counter it would happen on another. So the four great spirits dived the worlds creating the realm of eternal darkness, The realm of the umbra (spirit world), The realm of shadows, and the astro realm. These are the realms that were made in order to trap the wyrm. Even though the wyrm became trapped, demons were still able to be spawned from the wyrm.

The Realms
When the realms were created a gate and keys were made. The realms eventually got lives of their own, and brought forth thousands of realms and realities, but only those four realms could be entered with out the link to the Gates of Destiny.

Gate to worlds
The Gates of destiny were special gates created when the world was split into five separate realms, The Mortal Realm (Earth), The Spirit Realm (Umbra), The Shadow Realm, The Astro Realm, and The Realm of Eternal Darkness (Nexus). Then the realms, being now separated, began to take on their own life and gave birth to a chain reaction to many new realms. Any realm created was linked to the gates of destiny and can only be accessed with the gates of destiny. The Gates could only be opened with four keys that each of the great spirits held onto.

Pam and his Evil Turn
The Griffin of Darkness suffered a turning fate when he became corrupted by the wyrm and its spawn. He was given a name known as Pam. Pam was a name that meant Dark Trader to the spirits. The three great spirits decided to banish Pam into the realm of eternal darkness, and so they did. The Gates of destiny was then forever sealed off and all four keys hidden between worlds. Even though Pam is forever stuck in the realm of eternal darkness, he has learned to possess outside creatures of Earth. Pam will never rest until he is able to get free again from the realm of eternal darkness, his eternal prison.

The Four Main Realms
The four main realms (Other then Earth) are the only realms able to be accessed without the gates. But they are only accessed through exceptions. The spirit realm can only be accessed by spirits at will, or by those with the powers of the five great sages of the spirit realm. The Astro realm is said to be the resting place for the great spirits deep within it, and can only be accessed through astro form or by spirit. The shadow realm is a mirror world to Earth that can only be accessed by powerful magic. Lastly, the Realm of eternal darkness can only be accessed by demons and by the darkest, most powerful entities. The exeption to the realm of eternal darkness is that Pam is cursed to forever stay there unless the gates of destiny are to be re-opened to that realm.

Chapter Two: The Races

Ancients
Ancients are a very old race of humans with a special gift given by the great spirits. This gift is called "The Inner Light". It is a powerful and mysterious gift that holds many wonders and also gives the Ancients the gift of dragon speech. Dragon speech is also known as "Dragon whispering". There are two types of Ancients, Sub-Ancient and Pure Ancient. They are also considered the bretheren of the Dragons.

Pure Ancients
Ancients are weird in blood. Ancients of pure blood are often born with a mark on there right arm. This is the mark of the Ancients. The mark represents the honor of being pure blood. But during the tough times, kings feared the Ancients because of there power to talk to dragons. And so Kings hired slayers now known as "Dragon Slayers" to hunt and kill Dragons and the now dieing race "Ancients". Even though the symbol the pure bloods are born with is honorable, it is dangerous to have and is a dead give away of there blood of a slayer sees it. Pure Ancients usually automatcally understand what dragons say as if they were listening to the heart of the dragons, but however...sub ancients are different.

Sub-Ancients
Sub-Ancient means they are partial Ancient. Partial bloods are those that did not have pure, or both Pure Ancient parents. They are born without the mark and are considered lucky becaase without the mark, it makes them invisible to slayers by sight. But slayers are smart and they do have other ways, whether by magic or skill, to figure out if they are or are not a Ancient by blood. Sub-Ancients also have a tougher time in the beginning to talk to dragons because their blood is not pure. The more they stay around a dragon the stronger the connection becomes and eventualy they become capable of understanding the dragons like normal pure-blood.

Neo-Ancient
These Ancients are known as teh knew breeders. There blood is different from any other Ancient, and how they came to be is unknown. Some belive the neo-Ancients are the result of the Great Spirits attempt to replace Ancients. Not only do they have the gift of dragon speach, they have powers that surpass any Ancient.

Demi-Human
Demi-Humans are a very diffrent and complicated race. They are some times considered Furrys or Furrs, but they are realy humans that have physical traits and abillitys from animals. They are often mistaken as monsters such as werewolves, vampires, minotours, and ect. This race is also a dieing race and are considered one of the most powerfull allies to the Ancients. Demi-humans came to be known as gaurdians of animal world.

Humans
Humans are of course a race that does not have to be explained for those that read this are most likely human or allreayd know what a human is. They are the most common race on earth. Humans during the era of the Ancients were known to fear anything they didnt understand. Most feared and destroyed what the most definily didnt think was natural and feared the most. Ancients and Dragons as well was demi humans were often sloughtered by slayers.

Sayons
Sayons are human, nothing un-natrule about them. But they gain there oun section as a race becuase of the powers they gain as servents to the wyrm. One of there powers is the abillity to completey controle Vigredgs. Sayons are soldiers that do not fear the Ancients but despise them greatly. Most sayons became sayons becuase they were tainted by the wyrm or its spawn.

Chapter Three: All About Dragons

Dragons are or should be considered a Race but they deserve there oun chapter becuase they are very complex. Dragons are beings said to be created by the great spirets to pretect the earth from demons. Of course what would be a race if they didnt have great enemys. So as a counter balance, suposavly the Vigredg was born. Even though Vigredges are not dragons, they too will be talked about here in this chapter.

Breeds
There are thousands of breeds of dragons. Even though dragons are what most people say are jsut a dragon, there are actully many kinds of dragons. But even though Breed isnt enough, there are also a catagory of dragons that are said to have powers. These dragons that have powers are called High-dragons.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dragon breed list

Black Dragons:
Black dragons are evil-tempered, cunning and malevolent, charactistics that are reflected in their crafty, sinister faces. Black dragons are sometimes known as skull dragons because of their skeletal faces. Adding to the skeletal impressionis the gradual deterioration of the hide around the base of the horn and the cheekbones. This deterioration increases with age and does not harm the dragon. ON hatching, a black dragon's scales are thin, small and glossy. As the dragon ages, they become thicker, larger and duller, helping it camouflage itself in swamps and marshes. Black dragons are especially fond of coins. Older dragons sometimes capture and question humanoids about stockpiles of gold, silver, and platinum coins before killing them.

Blue dragons:
A blue dragons scales vary in color from an iridescent azure to a deep indigo, polished to a glossy finish by blowing desert sands. The size of its scales increases little as the dragon ages, although they do become thicker and harder. Its hide tends to hum and crackle faintly with built-up static electricity. These effects intensify when the dragon is angry or about to attack, giving off an odor of ozone and sand. Their vibrant color makes blue dragons easy to spot in barren desert surroundings. However, they often burrow into the sand so only part of their heads are exposed.

Blue dragons love to soar in the hot desert air, usually flying in the daytime when temperatures are highest. Some nearly match the color of the desert sky and use this coloration to their advantage.

Blue dragons lair in vast underground caverns, where they also store their treasure. Although they collect anything that looks valuable, they are most fond of gems especially sapphires

Green Dragons
A wyrmling green dragons scales are thin, very small, and a deep shade of green that appears nearly black. As the dragon ages, the scales grow larger and lighter, turning shades of forest, emerald, and olive green, which helps it blend in with its wooded surroundings.

Red Dragons

The small scales of a wyrmling red dragon are a bright glossy scarlet, making the dragon easily spotted by predators and hunters, so it stays underground and does not venture outside until it is more able to take care of itself. Toward the end of young age, the scales turn a deeper red, and the glossy texture is replaced by a smooth, dull finish. As the dragon grows older, the scales become large, thick, and as strong as metal. The neck frill and wings are an ash blue or purple-gray toward the edges, becoming darker with age. The pupils of a red dragon fade as it ages; the oldest red dragons have eyes that resemble molten lava orbs.

White Dragon
The scales of a wyrmling white dragon glisten like mirrors. As the dragon ages, the sheen disappears, and by very old age, scales of pale blue and light gray are mixed in with the white.

Brass Dragon
At birth, a brass dragons scales are a dull, mottled brown. As the dragon gets older, the scales become more brassy until they reach a warm, burnished appearance. The grand head-plates of a brass dragon are smooth and metallic, and it sports bladed chin horns that grow sharper with age. Wings and frills are mottled green toward the edges, darkening with age. As the dragon grows older, its pupils fade until the eyes resemble molten metal orbs.

bronze Dragon
A bronze wyrmlings scales are yellow tinged with green, showing only a hint of bronze. As the dragon approaches adulthood, its color deepens slowly to a darker, rich bronze tone. Very old dragons develop a blue-black tint to the edges of their scales. Powerful swimmers, they have webbed feet and smooth, flat scales. The pupils of its eyes fade as a dragon ages, until in the oldest the eyes resemble glowing green orbs

Copper Dragons
At birth, a copper dragons scales have a ruddy brown color with a metallic tint. As the dragon gets older, the scales become finer and more coppery, assuming a soft, warm gloss by young adult age. Very old dragons scales pick up a green tint. A copper dragons pupils fade with age, and the eyes of great wyrms resemble glowing turquoise orbs

Gold Dragons
On hatching, a gold dragons scales are dark yellow with golden metallic flecks.
The flecks get larger as the dragon matures until, at the adult stage, the scales are completely golden. Gold dragons faces are bewhiskered and sagacious; as they age, their pupils fade until the eyes resemble pools of molten gold.

Silver Dragons
A silver wyrmlings scales are blue-gray with silver highlights. As the dragon approaches adulthood, its color gradually brightens until the individual scales are scarcely visible.

Kimbar Dragons
Kibar dragons are usualy dark green in color and four limbed. Two libs are Legs and the other two are wings. They are natural born Gliders and are known to attack from the sky. They also have Two horns on each side of its head and has a set of double horns on its snout area.

Tarrin Dragons
These dragons are four limbed dragons. Two limbs are legs and two limbs are Arms. These dragons are known as burrowers and enjoy to live in the earth. They are Brown adn grey in coloring and have very sharp claws specializing in digging. They also have short horns and spikes that alow good defence and alows teh dragon to burrow with out getting stuck if the horns were long*

Doron Dragons
These dragons are black in color and not to be mistaken as the Black Dragon. These dragons are very emotional dragons and are six limbed. Two libs are legs, Two limbs are arms, and two limbs are wings. These dragons are also known to be very agressive in battle. They have two long horns on teh side of tehre heads and have a single horn on there snout. THere underbelly is some times black and are osme times eather yellow or grey.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

High-Dragons
High-Dragons are any kind of dragon that are granted great magicle powers, usualy based on a specific elemrnt such as fire or water. It is rare that a dragon would be found with more then one elemental powers. (Note: The elemental Attributes may change the apearence of the dragon regardless of breed.)

Vigredg (Not Dragons!!)
Vigredgs are demon like creatures, known to be very dumb, but are extreamly strong and very dangerus creatures. They have a extreamly toxic venom that is very leathal to even dragons. They are thought as the great hunters of dragons. There venom usualy paralzes the victem and slowly deteriates there body for a cruel, slow, and painfull death. Becuase these creatures are said to be dumb, it is for that reason why sayons are capable of controling them like pupets. Vigredgs look kinda like dragons accept they are black with slimy skin, they are not reptilian like dragons and are in fact more like Aphibius. Some say that they are the first spawn of the Wyrm.

Chapter Five: Rites and Rituals

Ancient Rituals

Bood Fuze:
This is a magicle Ritual done to save lives in the sacrafice of one self. When a person is stabed or brutaly injured and is near death, there life can be saved by anothers. The one doing this ritual is the one sacraficing there oun life to save a dear friend. A blade is usualy used to cut both there oun hand and teh person tehre tring to saves hand. Then both hands are held, cut to cut, and special words are said like a prayer to the Great spirets and the spirets of life. Then the person taht is performing this ritual disapears and there blood becomes fuzed to the person that was trying to be saved. Then that person that is now fuzed become perfectly healed, life extended, and usualy enherits some traits but not to many of the person that saved them. It has been known that if both people were two diffrent speicies or races, the person being saved risks becoming that race. so if a dragon chose to sacrafice them selves with blood fuse to save a humans life, that human may become a dragon.

Ancient Rites

Rite of Adult
This is a rite that is done like a celebration when a Ancient become 18, then that means they are a Adult once this Rite is performed. Usualy singing, dancing, and a great fight occurs in this Rite. The person that has turned 18 or the rite is for fights with a beast and if wins they are a Adult. Usualy a supervsior is around ti kill the beast if the person that is being challenged in this rite fails. If the erson fails then they have to wait anotehr year before performing the rite again.

Chapter Six: Gate, Cube, Keys, and Realms

Gates of Destiny
The Gates of destiny were created by the four ancient Great spirits or also known as the Ancient Gods. The gates were a door way that could allow any one to travel between realms. But it also acted as a barrier. A dark entity of pure chaos was sealed away in-between different realms, and the connections to all the realms acted like a net, caging the dark force in-between worlds forever. Four keys were made for the gates, each representing the Ancient Gods, and they were scattered across the lands of Earth to keep the gates safe. Legend tells that he who controls the Gates of Destiny controls Fate of all worlds.

Cube of Fate
The cube is part of the Gates of Destiny. The Cube cannot function without the Gates and the Gates cannot function without the Cube. It hovers above the gates, spins slowly and beams of light shoot out connecting worlds. It is the path maker for the gates.

Keys and the Gods
Legend tells that long ago Four Gods ruled over all realms; the Dragon of light, The Unicorn of judgment, The Phoenix of knowledge, and The Griffin of darkness. Legend goes that the Mother Gaia, the creator of all, created the four gods, The dragon spread light across the land, the unicorn gave judgment to Earths Creatures, the Phoenix gave Wisdom and Knowledge to the world, and the Griffin kept balance between all worlds, controlling the balance between life and death. The Dark entity trapped between worlds was said to have spawned corruption in the griffon, and the griffin became mad, and became known as Pamadora (Pam). The Great gods sealed Pam into the world of eternal darkness, and sealed the gates, for if the gates were to ever be opened, Pam could get out.
In his place, the gods brought rise of the Sages of the Spirit Realms. There were five sages and each was a demi-human, gods figured demi-humans were connected closer to nature, thus made them perfect candidates for being sages. The power of life and death was to powerful for only one sage so it had been split into five, fire, water, earth, air, and shadow, 1 going to each sage. Sages were made to do what Pam was unable to do no longer.

the centaurs ( Κένταυροι - Kéntauroi) are a race of creatures composed of part human and part horse. In early Attic vase-paintings, they are depicted with the torso of a human joined at the waist to the horse's withers, where the horse's neck would be.

This half-human and half-animal composition has led many writers to treat them as liminal beings, caught between the two natures, embodied in contrasted myths, both as the embodiment of untamed nature, as in their battle with the Lapiths, or conversely as teachers, like Chiron. The centaurs were usually said to have been born of Ixion and Nephele or of Apollo and Stilbe, daughter of the river god Peneus. In the latter version of the story his twin brother was Lapithus, ancestor of the Lapiths, thus making the two warring peoples cousins.Centaurs were said to have inhabited the region of Magnesia and Mount Pelion in Thessaly, Mount Pholoe in Arcadia and the Malean peninsula in southern Laconia.

The Centaurs are best known for their fight with the Lapithae, caused by their attempt to carry off Hippodamia and the rest of the Lapith women, on the day of her marriage to Pirithous, king of the Lapithae, himself the son of Ixion. The strife among these cousins is a metaphor for the conflict between the lower appetites and civilized behavior in humankind. Theseus, a hero and founder of cities, who happened to be present, threw the balance in favour of the right order of things, and assisted Pirithous. The Centaurs were driven off or destroyed Another Lapith hero, Caeneus, who was invulnerable to weapons, was beaten into the earth by Centaurs wielding rocks and the branches of trees. Centaurs are thought of in many Greek myths as wild as untamed horses. Like the Titanomachy, the defeat of the Titans by the Olympian gods, the contests with the Centaurs typify the struggle between civilization and barbarism.

Theories of origin
The most common theory holds that the idea of centaurs came from the first reaction of a non-riding culture, as in the Minoan Aegean world, to nomads who were mounted on horses. The theory suggests that such riders would appear as half-man, half-animal (Bernal Díaz del Castillo reported that the Aztecs had this misapprehension about Spanish cavalrymen).Horse taming and horseback culture arose first in the southern steppe grasslands of Central Asia, perhaps approximately in modern Kazakhstan.

The Lapith tribe of Thessaly, who were the kinsmen of the Centaurs in myth, were described as the inventors of horse-back riding by Greek writers. The Thessalian tribes also claimed their horse breeds were descended from the centaurs of the various Classical Greek authors who mentioned centaurs, Pindar was the first who describes undoubtedly a combined monster.[7] Previous authors that could also mean ordinary savage men riding ordinary horses. However, contemporaneous representations of hybrid centaurs can be found in archaic Greek art.

Lucretius in his first century BC philosophical poem On the Nature of Things denied the existence of centaurs based on their differing rate of growth. He states that at three years old horses are in the prime of their life while at three humans are still little more than babies, making hybrid animals impossible.speculated that the centaurs were a dimly-remembered, pre-Hellenic fraternal earth cult who had the horse as a totem.A similar theory was incorporated into Mary Renault's The Bull from the Sea.

The Greek word kentauros is generally regarded as of obscure origin. The etymology from ken - tauros, "piercing bull-stickers" was a Euhemerist suggestion in Palaephatus' rationalizing text on Greek mythology, On Incredible Tales mounted archers from a village called Nephele eliminating a herd of bulls that were the scourge of Ixion's kingdom. Another possible related etymology can be "bull-slayer". Some[who?] say that the Greeks took the constellation of Centaurus, and also its name "piercing bull", from Mesopotamia, where it symbolized the god Baal who represents rain and fertility, fighting with and piercing with his horns the demon Mot who represents the summer drought. In Greece, the constellation of Centaurus was noted by Eudoxus of Cnidus in the fourth century BC and by Aratus in the third century.

Female centaurs
Though female centaurs, called Kentaurides, are not mentioned in early Greek literature and art, they do appear occasionally in later antiquity. Ovid also mentions a centauress named Hylonome who committed suicide when her husband Cyllarus was killed in the war with the Lapiths.

In a description of a painting in Neapolis, the Greek rhetorician Philostratus the Elder describes them as sisters and wives of the male centaurs who live on Mount Pelion with their children.
How beautiful the Centaurides are, even where they are horses; for some grow out of white mares, others are attached to chestnut mares, and the coats of others are dappled, but they glisten like those of horses that are well cared for. There is also a white female Centaur that grows out of a black mare, and the very opposition of the colours helps to produce the united beauty of the whole.

Dark elves (Dökkálfar, usually called the Svartálfar "black elves") are known as a class of elves living underground in Old Norse mythology, the counterparts to the Ljósálfar ("Light-elves"). They are very similar to dwarfs as they mainly live in places where there is little light, though unlike both high elves and dwarves the dark elves are an evil race that like suffering and pain. Their physical appearance is of darkly colored hair and black/dark eyes, as opposed to light elves with blond hair and blue eyes. Their skin tone could be any shade of color just like humans. . They are more recently described as a race of elves and sometimes counterparts to the high elves in fiction and modern popular culture.

In Norse mythology, Svartálfar ("Swart-elves" or "black elves"), sometimes considered synonymous with duergar ("dwarves"), are subterranean creatures who dwell in the world of Svartálfheim. They may be either benevolent or malevolent. The original Svartalfar worked the forges on the lowest level of the world tree. Their roles and countenance vary throughout, but are sometimes mentioned with Black or Dark hair.

The Dökkálfar ("Dark-elves") are male ancestral spirits who may protect the people, although some can be menacing, especially when one is rude to them. They are generally light-avoiding, though not necessarily subterranean, distinguished from the Ljósálfar (Light-elves) of Álfheim, in most sources simply known as elves.

The Trow or the black elves or drows are similar to the trolls or dwarves, and inhabit mines and caves. They may be either helpful or harmful but stories regarding harm are more common.

The Drow or the dark elves are the Shetland Isle equivalent of the Trow, but unlike the trow, they are thought of as exclusively malicious. They are tiny elves known for their mining and metal-working, like dwarves.

In the Scottish Gaelic language, the terms Daoi-Sith (loosely interpreted as "dark elves" [1]), and Du-Sith (loosely interpreted as "black elves" [2]) exist. Both terms are obscure, and the latter seems to have been used as a proper name. Apart from an ambiguous folktale of uncertain origin , there are no known surviving myths or stories associated with these creatures.
